Embassy Suites by Hilton Greenville Downtown Riverplace

The hotel is in a perfect location downtown for access to the park. Breakfast was decent, but we have had better breakfasts at other Embassy Suites. It was scorching hot outside, so we really enjoyed the pool. Staff failed to replenish towels as needed and housekeeping was slow, so there may have been a staff shortage. Overall, though, it was a nice stay.

Room smelled of an animal (evidently this ES does not block rooms for non-pet clients! Staff was slow and one of the two had an attitude… (so much for being a Hilton Honors Member) View out my room (3rd floor) was a dumpy construction site. Never stay at this location again - Westin is by far a better, classic hotel worth the extra money!!! R

The valet was very helpful in explaining how to navigate the self park garage. Walking into the lobby, there was no signage as to where check in was Once we figured it out, we walked up to the desk and there were 3 people in line waiting to check in and no employee in site. We waited for almost 5 minutes before a lady came up. She seemed like she didn't enjoy her job very much. We paid for a king room with a balcony overlooking the river She put us in a handicap accessible room overlooking the roads in downtown with just a slight view of the river. Not really what we thought we would get for the extra money. It was just one night so we let it go. The young lady at the bar for the manager's cocktail reception was very nice and helpful. The free breakfast the next morning was very good The room was clean and spacious and the hotel lobby area was nondescript and a little underwhelming.

Rooftop restaurant and bar were great. Very dog friendly and close to walking trails. Big spacious rooms.

Absolutely stunning area. Enjoyed it immensely. Embassy Suites did not disappoint.

We had a wonderful over night stay for our 39th anniversary. The room was nice and spacious , clean and had a great view of downtown Greenville. Complimentary drinks and snacks the night of check in and a satisfying breakfast the morning of checkout. Will be back

I would love to see the breakfast chef whose omelettes are divine, smile and make eye contact when engaging with guests. He looks right over you when speaking with you and quite often is dismissive and pretentious. Other than this particular experience, our 4 night stay was all that we’d hoped it would be. Josh at Ruth’s Criss made up for the grumpy breakfast chef and treated us to an elevated experience complete with the southern hospitality and made us feel as though he we were his only dinner guests. Bravo Josh!!!

Breakfast was typical of hotel. Famous omelets were marginal quality with eggs out of a milk carton type container.

Everything was wonderful….except, the parking is sooo confusing, A,B,C, you’re under the hotel, then you’re under the next place or hotel. Got lost trying to find my car twice, 3rd times a charm I guess. Spend a lot of time in Greenville and the hotel was awesome but won’t stay here again because of the parking issue. Price was spot on for parking yourself, but $28 for valet, nope.
