The Pub looks a bit run down from the outside but don't let that put you off (don't judge a book by it's cover!). The menu isn't vast and it's basic pub grub but it's really good and well priced. The staff are so friendly - nothing is too much trouble. Would certainly recommend you give it a try.

We called at The Gretna Inn tonight on chance and we are so glad that we did. We all enjoyed a really lovely home cooked meal. It was reasonablu priced too. The service was great. My son is a wheelchair user and the access was easy. We can recommend the fish pie and lasagne.... .thank you so much xxx

Visited this pub for a family meal recently, booking may be advisable. Staff at the inn very pleasant & helpful, food very nice cooked fresh! The Gretna Inn offers gluten free options on menu and caters for Children. Enjoyable meal enjoyed by all the family.

Two friends booked The Gretna Inn for their Wedding Breakfast, mainly because they would allow their small dog to accompany them. It's got to be said that having a choice of meal from the pub's menu rather than formal Wedding Fayre was great. In all there were fourteen guests Negatives - it would've been better had all the guests been sat in a more conjoined table arrangement rather than two separate, although adjacent tables - at 2pm, disappointing that the Gretna only had one steak left Positives - everyone agreed that it was probably the best pub food ever - pies, lasagnes, haggis plus trimmings and the solitary steak were superb - prices very reasonable (eg Rib Eye plus the works £22) - the service was exceptional

One of the worst rooms I've ever stayed in. Bathroom smelled of chip fat, black hair in shower, shaving articles left from previous occupant. Carpet not hoovered, kirbys on floor. Furniture dated. No shelves or wardrobe. Plastic chair looked as dirty as the walls. Not a good experience only plus was the staff apart from the young blonde girl with attitude on the Saturday night who insisted on us paying our bill pronto when she had the till open 😳 not a good experience for my friends birthday, needless to say we won't be stopping again. Certainly not worth £75 pn!! .

We had a family meal in the Gretna Inn following our daughter’s wedding. The staff were fantastic, and understood the informal meal we wanted. the service was brilliant and the home cooked food was delicious. We all had a wonderful time. The price was very reasonable and they allowed us to bring the dog inside too. The Gretna Inn looks so pretty with all the flowers outside. Just the perfect day. Thank you.

Front of pub is breathe taking to look at Young lady who served us didn’t have particularly great customer service “Dave” the jackdaw was knocking around I ordered peppercorn chicken - was lovely however not much variety in salad and too many chips - became a bit “samey” taste wise. Seemed to be some very rowdy regulars sat outside also very off putting for this time of day around 1-2pm on a Sunday afternoon. I personally didn’t go inside the pub partner commented on staff blatantly seen “losing their rag” Tables should be cleared more regularly due to Dave the jackdaw being a nuisance.

We stopped off for a bite to eat whilst travelling. Food was very tasty and served quickly. A smashing little place which i would happily recommend. I have also stopped off here previously with coach parties. They have always accommodated us and look after us well. Will be back.

3 of us stayed here. £89 for two rooms, both en-suite and full breakfast is excellent value for money. Rooms clean, staff great., off road parking. No it ain’t the Ritz, but 89 quid wouldn’t get you 3 breakfasts at the Ritz., let alone a bed for the night. Would happily visit again.
