Scenicland Motels

When the aunt at the front desk saw me call out my name, I didn’t need anything to check in. She gave the key and brought it to the room. She explained the use of the key, power supply and air conditioner. She also told me that the supermarket is close to the hotel. The supermarket is quite big. Everything is complete. Gave a bottle of milk The car parked at the door of his room, all rooms on the first floor. The room is large, the bed is 1.8 meters, 3 pillows, bath products, hair dryer, kettle, microwave oven, stove, towels, no slippers, toothpaste, toothbrush The rooms are clean. Greymouth is a big town. There are many shops and people. Dinner is at the restaurant at the entrance of Pancake Rock, not near the hotel. The hotel does not include breakfast, you will leave after you eat bread and check out at 10 o’clock on time

It is conveniently located at the exit of the west coast. The room is large and clean, can accommodate 3 people, fully equipped, and the bathroom is large, very satisfied! It is the most satisfactory and cost-effective accommodation during the trip. Recommended!

Hotel location is relatively biased, but 5 minutes walk to the beach. The quality of the room is relatively poor, and it feels like the stove hasn't been wiped for a long time. The hotel is right next to the road and there is a train, which is very noisy.
Sundowner Motel

We stayed the night after coming across from Christchurch on the Trans Alpine train. (And that is such a wonderful trip in itself- thoroughly recommend it) Murray and Wendy are great hosts, friendly and helpful and able to point us towards interesting things to do around Greymouth while we were there. Their units are spotless, all our basic requirements were covered and the shower is amazing. Full on hot and abundant! Murray dropped us back to the train the next day and when my husband discovered he had left his jacket in the back of the car, Murray made it back down to the train station with said item of clothing, just before the train departed. He definitely went above and beyond expectations.

Rent a room for 7 people, the toilet, the shower room, and the kitchen are all outside. The surrounding environment is neat and tidy, and it feels good. The only downside is that it is more troublesome to go to the cottage at night. The weather is cold outside. It feels cold when you go out. You must wear thick jacket pants.
Alpine Rose Motel

The owners of this place are lovely! Unfortunately I don't recall their names (Rodger?), but my sister and I were greeted by the most enthusiastic and friendly bloke who personally walked us to our room and advised us where we could go for dinner, where the supermarket is and gave us some milk for the fridge. He was cracking jokes and smiling and laughing and it was a very nice and genuine welcome. Everything was great. Beds were comfortable, split system air conditioning worked well, cute little kitchenette, nice and clean bathroom. Nothing negative to say. 5 stars
