"Spent five nights here at around Easter time, visiting my relatives living nearby. Hotel is a hidden gem - really beautiful, ancient, quiet; with magnificent panoramic view of Rome, esp at night. Staff are all very nice, friendly and provide help whenever required. Breakfast is fine, not much in variety but for me it's good enough. will certainly come again when I next visit Rome/grottaferrata."

"Booked a one night stay on our way south. The positives are the hotel itself is beautiful. Attention to detail in the decor is stunning. Our room most pleasant. Problems were the lack of customer service provided to their guests. I sent an email to request a reservation in the taverna. Never received a reply/acknowledgment and when we arrived at the taverna there was no reservation. We arrived at 8:00 pm and we notified the hotel of the time of our arrival. Parking across the street a fellow in an orange vest helped with our luggage to the door. It was locked. He went to the taverna of the hotel to indicate guests had arrived. No one came to the door. He went a second time - no one came as we stood in the street with luggage. I rang the bell that I then saw and a staff member came to the door. Check in wasn’t welcoming, friendly nor informative. He took our passports and gave us a room key and showed us the elevator. No explanation about breakfast, wi fi, parking, nothing. When we dropped off our luggage to head to the taverna it was apparent we had interrupted his dinner! The taverna is beautiful. Food was very good. However our waiter without asking charged our meal in our own currency rather than euros which is a benefit to the taverna and certainly not to us. Overall the hotel is beautiful but I wouldn’t stay again as there is no customer service."

"Quality price I would not say. It lacks services inside the room of bottled water and breakfast. For the price that is charged they did not at least think of putting machines for refreshment or pods to get a coffee. Improvised management I would say."

"The villa is very beautiful and elegant although the garden is not very well kept. completely inadequate staff, considering that to get our room we had to wait almost an hour beyond the check-in time because they were still redoing it. very thorough cleaning of the rooms, having found food residue on the floor as soon as we entered. quite meager and basic breakfast with leftover doves and Easter eggs!!! the request for a daily surcharge for a baby playpen without a mattress but filled only with sheets at the base is unacceptable. basically a cot was paid 10 euros per night without being able to use it. The only positive note was the kindness of the Sri Lankan boy and the Ukrainian lady. for the asking price (almost 200 euros per night) we expect much, much more. Sin!"

"I booked 15 rooms in this hotel for friends and family for an event held in the area. As with all large bookings, there was a bit of confusion (ours) in the previous months linked to some guests who wanted to arrive earlier or leave later, and the staff always took care to accommodate our requests promptly and giving us always timely confirmation. The rooms were all beautiful and welcoming, furnished with excellent taste. I think mine in particular was a superior room, on the third floor, it was very large, king size bed, double sink in the bathroom, plenty of windows so as to allow a splendid view of the greenery of the Castelli Romani. I took a look around some of my other guest rooms and they all seemed well kept and welcoming, some with a pleasant little terrace. The outdoor spaces are also beautiful and spacious. The ample parking is also excellent. Not trivially, they are a wedding venue, and even though they had an event on Friday and would have another on Saturday, they allowed us to do a small photo shoot in the garden by the pool on Saturday morning without batting an eyelid. I didn't take it for granted and I really appreciated their availability. Overall excellent value for money. Thank you so much, I was very satisfied and I received only compliments from the guests."
