Plus: View of Kirkjufell Mountain! But as an accommodation, there is little to recommend. Its in a somewhat run down commercial building. All self check in, which would be fine, except we never received information or instructions. There is no lobby of any kind, a fight of stairs and a hallway. The room itself was sparse. There is no restaurant in the building.

An unusual place, although not in a bad way. Essentially the ground floor is a collection of small businesses that occupy the old bank while on the first floor the bank offices have been converted into guest rooms. The room was huge and comfortable and whilst it was definitely not luxurious it was perfectly functional.

Located above a bank left us wondering what we were in for, but this place was great. The room was big, clean and nice and warm. Very comfortable bed and Netflix provided. There is also a small common balcony with a view of Kirkjufel. Would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

A very nice guesthouse; our room (incl. the bathroom) were incredibly spacious and everything was clean. The room featured a small kitchen with a microwave and sink, as well as a smart TV. Grundarfjördur is rather remote, so we only stayed one night, but it can be a great base for exploring the Snaefellnes peninsula.
