Hotel Nikko Guam Reviews

I stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. My only minor gripes were that the fridge wasn't very cold and housekeeping was only every other day. However, considering the location, facilities, and price, I think it's a good value-for-money hotel overall and I was satisfied.

The room was great, and although the facilities were a bit old, they were well-maintained overall. It's a shame, though, that due to the tides, my main purpose of staying at this hotel, which was snorkeling, couldn't be fulfilled, as the hotel offers very few services in that regard. Such a huge, huge, huge regret. I wish breakfast could be a bit more exquisite, but for an American island, it's decent enough!

Right by the beach, you can swim in the pool, and the food is delicious! There are also Donki bus and Aka bus stops nearby, which is really convenient! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I've been to Dusit, Dusit Thani, PIC, and others, but this one offers great value for money. The beach isn't recommended, but the sunset is a must-see.

Although the room was a bit dated, I was satisfied considering the price. The ocean view from the room was much better than I expected. Since all rooms have an ocean view, it's perfect for just gazing at the sea. Without a car, it's a bit inconvenient due to the distance from the city center, but for those who rent a car, you'll likely be happy with the more affordable price compared to Tumon.

Overall, it's a great place. It's quite peaceful, and they offer a good variety of beach activities. Most of the guests are Japanese and Korean. The food is a bit pricey, and the hotel itself is a little old, but everything still functions well. The staff are also very friendly.

It wasn't clean at all. The hallways were dirty and the room wasn't good. The only saving grace was the bidet. The pool isn't very big. They ran out of towels by 4 PM, so I had to go back to my room soaking wet. There were times when I tipped the housekeeper directly, but the room still wasn't cleaned. It's the quality you'd expect for the discounted price, I suppose. Next time, I'd like to stay at a different hotel.

This time, I stayed without meals. Check-in was smooth. There were no staff members who spoke Japanese, which is something to be aware of. Although not mentioned during check-in, cleaning is only done about 3-4 times a week, not daily, so keep that in mind. The pool and private beach were great. I participated in the yoga session held every Wednesday at 7 AM. It was really good, but since we were the only participants, I highly encourage everyone to join! We pre-booked the BBQ, and it was almost full, so reservations are recommended. Overall, it was quite similar to Japanese BBQ and delicious.

I had a wonderful stay at Nikko Hotel. The beach in front of the hotel was amazing and highly recommended! Snorkeling was so much fun and I really enjoyed it!

The hotel's decor is a bit dated, but the location is fantastic, and there's plenty of parking. The staff are really enthusiastic. There was even a beach performance in the evening. The room was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It's a shame we couldn't use the pool and the large water slides because of the recent typhoon; they looked really great.

Due to the typhoon, the air conditioning was out of order, and the pool, gym, laundry room, and some restaurants were closed. Despite this, we were very grateful that they remained open. However, it was disappointing that during check-in, we were only informed about the AC not working. There were also yoga activities, but we weren't informed about them.

This hotel is a bit out of the way, at the edge of the hotel area, but it's not a problem if you have a rental car! The view is also great, so I highly recommend it! If you come to Guam, you absolutely have to get an ocean view room!

Pros: The location is decent, not too far from the airport or the city center, and there's a bus stop nearby. The pool view is nice, and the hotel's facility discounts are also valid at the neighboring Tsubaki Tower. Cons: I had anticipated that the facilities would be old, but the bathtub and sink were genuinely dirty, with a lot of grime and rust. Even though the windows weren't open, there was a damp, moldy smell as soon as I entered the room, and returning to the room each of the three nights really put a damper on my mood. What was most infuriating was that the room wasn't cleaned on the second day after check-in. I called housekeeping, but no one came. I also spoke with the front desk, but still no one came. Not only was the room not cleaned, but the towels weren't even replaced. It was only on the third day that I saw the room next door being cleaned and asked the staff for some new towels. Having stayed at so many hotels in Japan, I've never encountered such poor service quality – it was truly shocking. And the towels had some unknown stains on them, yet they weren't replaced daily. Compared to the price I paid, the value for money was incredibly low. Although I haven't stayed at a JAL hotel before, I definitely won't be choosing this one for future domestic trips in Japan. A truly terrible travel experience!
