Guangzhou Tianhe District 5-star Hotels

The location is excellent and the facilities are relatively new, but the service attitude leaves much to be desired: 1. First, the elevators. Check-in is on the 30th floor. There are three elevators in total: one goes to all floors, one to odd-numbered floors, and one to even-numbered floors. In fact, all three elevators can reach the 30th-floor front desk, but the signs aren't clear. This led to a long wait for the elevator before realizing all three could go there, missing the odd-numbered elevator. When hotel staff entered the odd-numbered elevator, they didn't verbally suggest that it could go to the front desk (of course, they might say 'how would I know you're checking in?'. But a service-oriented person might ask if they see you with luggage, wouldn't they?). 2. The next day, I wanted to request a late check-out. Typically, hotels either outright refuse or decide based on room availability. However, the front desk immediately said: ”You can extend by 2 hours, but you need to leave a good review.” I said I only needed to extend by 1 hour. The response was: ”A 1-hour extension costs 50 yuan, and even for 1 hour, you still need to leave a good review.” I asked if the front desk could guide me on how to leave a good review. She said, ”Yes, but you have to leave the good review after 2 PM.” What, do I need to set an alarm to remind me to leave a good review? ...Forget it, I can't afford to extend. I checked out early. Before checking out, I provided feedback about my unpleasant experience: I accept whether a hotel clearly refuses a late check-out or decides based on availability. But this blatant push for good reviews, with so many restrictions, is truly debatable. Moreover, the room type I booked was supposed to include some kind of silver card membership, which comes with a 1-hour late check-out privilege, but this was never mentioned during check-in. Finally, the hotel said sorry and offered a 10% discount on the room rate. I said there was no need. I just hope that review inflation can be reduced so that genuine reviews are valuable to guests who truly need them.

Before the end of the summer vacation, I brought my kids to Guangzhou and booked two deluxe twin rooms at Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel for two nights. Hotel Location: It's right by Exit D of Tiyu Xilu metro station. The hotel's first floor connects directly to Teemall, and Parc Central and Grandview Mall are also linked, making transportation very convenient. Whether it's malls, restaurants, or various community cafes, everything is nearby – extremely convenient. Room Facilities: We stayed in the most basic twin room, which was quite spacious and roomy. From our 15th-floor room, we could see the pool, offering a nice view. The room facilities were well-maintained, practical, and functional. Food and Beverage Service: The kids couldn't get up early in the mornings, and we wanted to try dim sum at nearby restaurants, so we didn't book breakfast. We bought a 3-drink pass at the lobby cafe and enjoyed coffee there, which was quite pleasant. Hotel Service: It was standard five-star service. After we arrived at the airport, my child realized they had left something in the room. The hotel proactively contacted us and arranged to have it sent home. We're very grateful for that. The hotel's location is excellent, so there are many business travelers and tourists. The first floor of the hotel is always bustling with people, which is great – where there are people, there's business.

A 5 star hotel with an amazing staff. Dominic helped us check in early at 8am although checkin is usually at 2pm. And during our checkout Elena was very helpful and kind. The hotel is amazing and the facilities are great. The swimming pool is fun and the gym is massive with a lot of equipment. The room is huge in size as well. Will surely come again. Hilton is hilton

We had a wonderful stay at Fraser Suites Guangzhou and would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit. We specifically chose this location because we knew Guangzhou would be extremely hot during the day, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The hotel is surrounded by several shopping malls, restaurants, and plenty of indoor attractions, making it easy to explore the city while staying comfortable. The location is incredibly convenient and was ideal for our family. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional concierge service. We had quite a few packages delivered during our trip, and the concierge team was always happy to receive them on our behalf and arrange for them to be delivered to our room. Their efficiency, professionalism, and willingness to help made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable. The suites were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay after busy days of shopping and sightseeing. Overall, Fraser Suites Guangzhou exceeded our expectations with its fantastic location, comfortable accommodation, and outstanding service. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning the next time we visit Guangzhou. Highly recommended!

The room was decent, and the front desk staff were very friendly and gave us an upgraded room. The environment was nice, the facilities were good, and the decor had character. The location was also convenient. However, the entire hotel's ventilation system had a musty smell.

Let me start with my overall impression. As someone from Sanya, Hainan, who has traveled to Guangzhou, I've stayed in many five-star hotels of various brands since childhood. Jumeirah, however, stands out as the most comfortable hotel with the best service I've ever experienced, bar none. Its location is excellent, near Guangzhou Tower. Just a few hundred meters walk through an underpass from the entrance leads to Huacheng Plaza, and a bit further is Haixinsha Park. All the staff, both men and women, were incredibly handsome and beautiful – a treat for the eyes! During check-in, they offered me a cup of tea, and I was able to sit throughout the process, handled by two lovely receptionists. The staff member who helped me with my package delivery was very professional and attentive, gentle and kind, and handsome too. The butler was attentive and responsive to every request, contacting me a day before my arrival. The background music in the lobby and restaurant was delightful, perfectly matching the hotel's style. The high ceilings in the rooms are a signature feature, and the decor is understated yet luxurious. The sunset and night views were absolutely stunning. Every evening, staff delivered complimentary sweet soup and welcome fruits, which were delicious. The only minor letdown was breakfast. Perhaps everything else was so exceptional that the breakfast seemed ordinary in comparison. Although the variety was somewhat limited, the quality of the dishes was exquisite, so I still give it a big thumbs up! I'll definitely bring my family to experience it next time. **Facilities:** Well-maintained and very new, with a modern decor that I absolutely loved. **Hygiene:** Clean, at least my room was. **Environment:** It allowed me to relax and get a good night's sleep. Before coming here, work and life stresses made it impossible for me to sleep soundly. But here, I had a two-hour nap and still managed to sleep eight hours at night. The bedding was excellent. I had been suffering from cervical spondylosis, but after a bath and a good sleep, I felt completely recovered.

Although my stay was only for one day, it was quite an experience. The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of Zhujiang New Town and Haixinsha. The room layout was well-designed, and I really liked the decor. The hardware conditions in the rooms at this Guangzhou Holiday Inn far surpassed those of equivalent Holiday Inns in Hong Kong. However, a hotel review is never just about location and room size. One counter-intuitive aspect of this hotel is that the lobby is on the highest floor, the 17th, while the hotel rooms are on floors 11-16. To exit the building, you first have to take an elevator up to the lobby, and then take another elevator down. My experience with the hotel was also quite difficult to describe. Only after checking in did I find a written notice in the room stating there would be power outages on October 1st and 2nd, during the busiest National Day holiday period. Why wasn't this communicated before check-in? Guests should have the option to decide whether to stay, especially since Guangzhou has many hotels, not just those under the InterContinental Group. Then, shortly before 10 PM, there was a sudden power outage without any warning. This wasn't even during the time slot that was communicated. Luckily, it didn't last long, but it was absolutely unprecedented. While the hotel quickly and effectively provided service recovery after my complaint, I want to emphasize that service is an experience, produced and consumed simultaneously. Post-incident recovery cannot erase a negative experience that has already occurred. Fortunately, this sudden power outage wasn't prolonged and didn't lead to uncontrollable situations, otherwise, the losses would have been much greater. Personally, I believe the hotel should have done the following: 1) Communicated and negotiated thoroughly with the property management beforehand to avoid sudden power outages or schedule them as much as possible for the middle of the night. 2) Informed guests in advance, rather than explaining and trying to recover after the fact. For guests unwilling to accept the power outage schedule, the hotel should have proactively arranged transfers to other hotels within their group.

I chose Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich for this trip, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations – truly worth recommending! 🥰 The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around 🚗, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, and taxis are easy to hail. Check-in was very efficient; front desk staff Mia and Rachel were warm and polite 💁, processed everything quickly, and even thoughtfully offered tips for local attractions. Their service was truly impeccable. The room was clean and tidy 🧹, with meticulous housekeeping. The bedding was soft and comfortable 🛏️, ensuring a very restful sleep. The room had great natural light and ventilation ☀️, and was well-equipped. The air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly, and the toiletries were comprehensive 🧴. The bathroom was odor-free, and the wet/dry separation design was very practical 🚿. The value for money is truly excellent 👍, making it suitable for both leisure travel and short business trips. The next time I visit this area, I will definitely prioritize staying at Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich again. I genuinely recommend it to everyone! 🌟

Pros: 1. The butler service was good, we got a room upgrade, and a complimentary breakfast for two, though it wasn't tasty. 2. They value customer feedback; after we mentioned the pool water wasn't clean on the first day, it was much cleaner on the second. 3. The gym equipment is quite comprehensive. 4. Dinner tasted good, but we all got diarrhea afterwards. Cons: 1. The room is old. 2. The doorman wasn't proactive; we always had to manage ourselves. They only helped open the trunk once when we were leaving. 3. Breakfast was, frankly, terrible.

Staying at W Guangzhou was a fantastic experience from start to finish. A special compliment goes to Vicky at check-in, who greeted me warmly and handled the entire process swiftly and professionally. The room was impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, offering top-tier comfort. Breakfast featured a huge, high-quality variety of options to start the day. The location is ideal with excellent restaurants and relaxing spas nearby, and the on-site club makes it effortless to party all night on the weekend. I look forward to returning!
