MY Hotel Apartment

We only ended up staying one night here despite booking for two nights. The main reason was location and cleanliness. The place is far from major attractions and areas for visitors and the room needs work when it comes to cleaning. There was no check-in instructions as to where should one find the front desk. The reception is actually on the 7th floor which we discovered after 30mins of searching and translating with the building staff.

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Location is about a 45 yuan didi ride from the Airport. The apartment/ hotel is above a mall which is ok. Basement of mall has various eateries, a supermarket, Mcdonalds, stores like miniso. The rest of the mall is made of clothes shops, juice and drink cafes, restaurants. It's about an 800m walk to the subway, and is about 5 stops from the Canton Tower. It's about a 30 yuan did to Beijing Road / Dafo Temple. The surrounding streets are very local. The Entrance and check in process to the hotel is confusing. There must be a few people renting out rooms. The front desk guy is nice but doesn't know much. We tried to check in and he said the person who runs it wasn't there and he didn't know where he was. I called the hotel contact number and finally was advised that I had to check in on floor 7 in room 711. It is a small office. The man was nice and helpful. He upgraded one of our rooms due to one of our rooms not being available on time. The rooms themselves, although a bit bland are comfortable and have everything you need, eg, washing machine/ dryer, hair dryer, large fridge, plenty of bathroom products but maybe needed more toilet rolls. Outside of mall at night is quite lively with families. One of our rooms on the 7th floor had good wifi. However, our wifi on floor 9 wasn't good. I was dumb and waited to the 2nd to last day to tell them. The wifi was promptly fixed. Two disappointing things was the price to go into the pool. 30 yuan per person, per session and the fact that other people in the building smoke in the halls. The smoke smell was very strong in the public areas. However I don't think the people who run these apartments have control over that. Overall enjoyed our stay.
