Lizun Platinum Hotel (Guangzhou East Railway Station & Shahu Metro Station Branch)

Poor location. I was unable to check in smoothly at the hotel, and the check-in process was delayed by almost two hours from the actual time. Another issue was with the bathroom. Water would flow out from the bathroom and seep underneath the door, causing the floor outside the bathroom to become wet. This was quite annoying. In addition, rain water comes in through the gap between window and wall, causing the floor to become wet. Overall, these issues made the stay quite inconvenient and disappointing.

I stayed at Lizun Platinum Hotel (Guangzhou East Railway Station & Shahu Metro Station Branch) in a Platinum Elegance King Room from 16–18 July. The room itself was well decorated, clean, and well maintained, and the bathroom was very nice with a good shower. Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down badly by the common areas and hotel environment. Smoking throughout the hotel was absolutely horrendous and made the stay unpleasant. There was also trash left outside rooms, which gave the property a neglected feel. The laundry facilities were far over capacity and felt chaotic, which added to the general sense of poor management. The room quality was good, but the hotel’s cleanliness and upkeep outside the room really need improvement. I would not be eager to stay again unless these issues are addressed.
