An unexpected gem! On my way back from Guangzhou, I stumbled upon this hotel on Ctrip and it looked like great value for money, so I had high hopes! I booked it right away. When I arrived, the hotel's exterior was unique, with an European style, and the lobby was luxurious and chic! The front desk lady was absolutely beautiful and friendly, and she even upgraded us on our first stay! Our room was on the 22nd floor, an executive suite – I loved it! If possible, a small sign indicating where the hairdryer is located inside the cabinet would be helpful…

The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and comes highly recommended as the top choice for business travelers! Its convenient location offers excellent transport links, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Bella provided efficient service, demonstrating professionalism in every detail. It perfectly caters to the needs of business travelers, and I will definitely be back!

The hotel's exterior has a very European feel, but the interior is quite Chinese. The rooms are a bit dark and the furniture is rather old-fashioned. Plus, the windows don't open, which makes it feel even more stuffy. However, the breakfast was quite good and had a nice variety – definitely living up to Guangzhou's reputation for great food!

Fantastic! The indoor and outdoor pools are a great combination, and the breakfast is plentiful. It's easy to get around, and the parking spaces are decent. We stayed in a river-view room with beautiful scenery, perfect for group trips.

I stay at Xinghewan Hotel multiple times a year. The rooms are spacious and bright, and consistently clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The staff are warm and patient, and the breakfast offers a great variety and good taste. I extended my stay for another night, and the front desk handled it immediately. This is always my top choice for hotels when I come to Guangzhou. Thank you!

The location is convenient, and the facilities are quite comprehensive, including free parking. The swimming pool wasn't too crowded. It's okay after the renovation, though the lockers in the swimming pool's changing room are a bit old and hard to open. Overall, it was relatively clean and hygienic.

Staying at Chimelong with kids, choosing Guangzhou Star River Hotel was such a wise decision! The room was spacious with plenty of activity room, and the comfortable large bed ensured a particularly good night's sleep after a tiring day of play. The indoor and outdoor dual pools are a hidden gem; after visiting the zoo during the day, we could take the kids for a swim in the evening to pass the time, and you can even see Canton Tower from across the pool. The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, with Cantonese dim sum and Western dishes galore, perfect for starting an energetic day. The hotel is only a ten-minute drive from Chimelong Safari Park and even offers a shuttle service, making travel super convenient. I must commend Miss Bella at the front desk. She was efficient and quick with check-in and incredibly responsible, always ready to answer any questions. When we left, we forgot something, and she helped us find it and even mail it. From facilities to service, everything was impeccable. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Guangzhou!

The environment has a French retro style, and I particularly love the crystal chandelier in the lobby—it's very elegant and grand. The standard rooms are quite spacious, around 50 square meters. The room was also very clean and tidy, and housekeeping was quite prompt. All the staff were very attentive. Looking forward to my next stay!

Riverside Hotel, the river view room is excellent. Cleanliness: Very good. Service: Excellent. Facilities: Both indoor and outdoor pools are very appealing! It's great to take a walk by the river at night, and it's also very convenient to get to Chimelong, only a 15-minute drive! I'll definitely come again next time! They even provided dinner, which is a big plus!! The dinner buffet was absolutely amazing!

Traveled with my child during the National Day holiday. The pool was a bit cold for younger kids. Overall, I was satisfied. It would be even better if they provided a step stool for children, as the sink was a bit high.

I forgot to take pictures. This time, I really just booked a room randomly. I wanted a large room with a big bed, so I chose this place. The room was indeed spacious, and the bed was good. However, the soundproofing was really poor. Also, since it's a family-friendly hotel, it was genuinely noisy. We encountered some rather ill-mannered guests. Their kids didn't stop all night, constantly opening and closing doors and running around everywhere! To be fair, the hotel doors are genuinely loud; even closing them slowly produces a significant amount of noise. So, I wouldn't recommend it for guests seeking peace and quiet. It should be fine for those with children, though, since it is a family hotel after all. That said, hotels in Guangzhou are quite affordable, offering better value for money than in Shanghai.

The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Room service is delivered by robots, which is a nice touch. The bedding was very comfortable and was replaced and cleaned promptly. Even during a typhoon, the hotel was well-prepared and ensured guest safety. Overall, a perfect stay!
