I was actually planning to give the hotel a good review after checking out. Then, while waiting in line at the airport for security, the front desk called me. I mistakenly thought it was a spam call and didn't answer. It was only after I cleared security that I suddenly remembered I'd left a piece of luggage in the room. I immediately called the front desk back and found out their call was to alert me about the forgotten luggage. The hotel then arranged a car to bring my bag over, but unfortunately, it got stuck in traffic, cutting the time very close. Although the luggage eventually arrived and I didn't miss my flight, I had to sprint to the boarding gate, which left me feeling quite frazzled. I kept thinking, why didn't they send someone by subway? It might have been faster, or they could have called an urgent dedicated car. Even though it all worked out in the end, the whole experience was quite upsetting, so I still have to give a bad review. If it weren't for the overall positive stay, my review would have been much harsher.

After a long search online, I finally booked this apartment, and I was pleasantly surprised upon check-in! The room was very spacious and clean, and it even had a fridge and washing machine. I chose this hotel specifically because it's the closest to our headquarters for my client's visit. The service was great, and the location is quite good. It's right in the heart of the city center, incredibly convenient for the subway. Lines 1 and 3 (Tiyu Xilu, Zhujiang New Town), and Line 5 (Wuyangcun) are all nearby, making it easy to get anywhere. Super tourist-friendly. The room was over 40 square meters, spacious and airy, not at all cramped. The smart home features throughout were a lifesaver – electric curtains and central air conditioning were all electronically controlled. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered fantastic natural light and views, directly overlooking the city skyline at night. The room details were very thoughtful. There was a desk with built-in USB ports, making it easy to charge devices and handle small tasks. A little green plant in the corner added a fresh, calming touch. Instead of a traditional TV, there was HD screen mirroring. After a tiring day, it was perfect to come back and stream shows, really setting the mood. The Wi-Fi was stable and fast throughout the room, perfect for watching videos or browsing without any lag. Closing the electric curtains blocked out most of the street noise, making it quiet and comfortable. This trip also brought a lot of kindness our way. On the subway, we saw a mom with a baby, and my friend and I instinctively offered our seats. Such a small gesture added a lot of warmth to our journey. We specifically asked the front desk for local food and sightseeing recommendations, and the staff were incredibly patient, suggesting an authentic farmhouse meal in Panyu. We specially went to Panyu to try the 'old wild rice' that locals love, which is rice steamed over a wood fire – full of rustic charm. The free-range chickens raised on the farm had firm and tender meat, and the freshly caught river fish was incredibly fresh and sweet, completely different from fast food in the city. It was simple yet comforting. My only minor regret is that the room was a bit too big. The cleaning staff knocked on the door to deliver bottled water, but we didn't hear them, so we thought they hadn't come.

If you have time, you could also visit the Sacred Heart Cathedral to experience the unique architectural style of old Guangzhou. I asked the front desk for local food recommendations, and the staff suggested a well-regarded local restaurant. The dishes were authentic, and I got to try many characteristic Cantonese dishes that perfectly suited my taste. When I ran out of drinking water, I contacted the front desk, and they quickly arranged for more to be delivered. Their response time was good, and the 24-hour front desk staff were very patient in answering questions about directions and nearby attractions. I have two minor, insignificant suggestions: the windowsill by the window lacked a small surface for placing small items, making it a bit inconvenient, and the lighting options at night weren't very varied. The building also has several recreational areas where you can relax and walk around during downtime. Although I only stayed for one night for my business trip, the overall experience was excellent. The large room, high-floor views, and the projector setup were major highlights. Whether for a business trip or a leisure stay in Guangzhou, the value for money is definitely commendable.

Taking advantage of the tail end of the summer vacation, with all my child's homework successfully completed and school about to start, I decided to treat my child to a one-night trip to Guangzhou. I booked this room type randomly, but to my surprise, the stay was incredibly comfortable, and the overall experience was very fulfilling. The voice control throughout is super convenient; you can just lie in bed and call out "Xiao Du, Xiao Du" to turn lights on/off and open/close curtains, no manual operation needed, which the little one absolutely loved. After a tiring day of sightseeing, we returned to the room, and my child could lie down and watch high-definition movies with clear and smooth picture quality, making for a super enjoyable binge-watching experience. After a whole day of travel, lying down to rest was incredibly relaxing. The internet speed was stable without any lag, and there's a small desk by the window, which was convenient for organizing things or handling small tasks. The soundproofing of the room was also great; closing the window made it quiet, ensuring a good quality rest. During this trip, we also encountered a heartwarming and interesting incident. At a scenic spot, a child and their parent got lost and were crying. Passersby were all very kind, helping to comfort the child and assist in finding the parents. The strong sense of human connection was truly touching and made us feel very warm. A trip wouldn't be complete without authentic local Guangzhou cuisine, of course. The front desk was very thoughtful and recommended a long-standing dim sum restaurant that locals frequent, offering genuine old Guangzhou flavors! We slowly savored "one pot and two pieces" (a traditional dim sum phrase): tender and flavorful steamed spare ribs, fresh and springy shrimp dumplings, and smooth and refreshing rice noodle rolls, all paired with a bowl of sweet Cantonese dessert soup. The taste was authentic, completely free from the inflated prices of internet-famous shops. I have a minor, insignificant suggestion: the remote control in the room was placed in a somewhat obscure spot, and it took me a little while to find it initially. Also, it would be more convenient if there was an additional shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. When we ran out of mineral water in the room, I contacted the front desk, and they delivered it to us shortly after. The service response was exceptionally quick, and the 24-hour front desk staff were always on duty, patiently answering questions about routes and local sightseeing tips, which was very reliable. The building also has rich amenities, including leisure areas, a swimming pool, and a fitness area for simple relaxation and stress relief. Although it was only a short one-night stay, the overall experience was particularly satisfying. The smart facilities were easy to use, the hygiene was excellent, the service was attentive and detailed, and the location was convenient for travel. It's really suitable for short trips with kids or as a temporary stopover in Guangzhou. The value for money is truly exceptional.

The location is a huge plus – you can walk to Canton Tower and Huacheng Square, making it very convenient for night views and shopping. Now for the small, honest details: the room felt a bit too big, almost empty, haha, maybe that's just my personal feeling, but luckily I brought a few suitcases, which helped fill up some of the space.

They suggested going to Yuexiu District to try authentic local dishes like chicken giblet soup and beef brisket noodles, which are popular with locals. However, I'm not a big fan of noodles, so I didn't take their advice. I ended up looking on a platform myself and picked a few highly-rated influencer-favorite restaurants, trying both Chinese and Western cuisine. Unfortunately, after eating, I immediately got diarrhea and felt completely weak. All my planned outings were ruined, and I had to stay in the hotel room, unable to go anywhere. I understand that the hotel can only offer dining suggestions and can't force guests to stop eating out. But I still felt a bit bothered, wishing the front desk had emphasized their warnings more strongly; maybe I could have avoided this unpleasant experience. There were no major issues with the hotel's hardware, but after what happened, my overall mood was terrible, and the whole stay was significantly marred. I really can't give a good review, but it's not a complete zero either, so I'll give it a small score.
