Yudong Yayuan Yuexunjia Apartment (Guangzhou Beijing Road Memorial Hall Subway Station)

I've stayed at Yudon Yayuan multiple times now. The loft apartment has a duplex design, which is spacious and clean. Whenever I travel out of the city, I always book this place. It's located in the old town, with a wet market downstairs, so the food is cheap and always to my liking. It's also close to the subway station, making getting around super convenient. The only downside is there's nowhere to dry clothes; it's really inconvenient after washing them.

This duplex room offers great value for money given its location. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and many attractions are within walking distance. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are very clean, and the room is serviced daily.

First and foremost, the location is absolutely fantastic. It's very close to the subway and also near the First People's Hospital. Our room on the fourth floor had great natural light and ventilation, and all the amenities were well-equipped. The cleaning was also very good. The first floor is the living room, and the second floor is the bedroom, offering excellent privacy. It's truly great, and I'll definitely stay here again.

First, the positives: The hotel's location is quite convenient for getting around, not far from many attractions. However, it's an objective fact that the hotel is showing its age. Despite that, the cleanliness is decent, and all the electrical appliances are well-equipped. Now for the downsides: The hotel uses an electric water heater, so after one person showers, you have to wait 10 to 20 minutes for the water to heat up again. For three people taking turns, this is quite time-consuming and somewhat affects rest. Also, the faucet requires separate adjustments for hot and cold water, making it slow to get the right temperature, which is especially inconvenient when washing hair. Another minor hassle is that the room key doesn't work for the elevator. Other things like the low ceiling in the duplex and the small room having no window or door were anticipated, though.
