Everything was good. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so you have to climb stairs, but it's a quiet place amidst the hustle and bustle. The owner is very welcoming, and there are many good restaurants nearby. The only downside is that it's not close to the subway station, which was a bit tough for us since we were on a business trip with luggage and had to walk a lot. However, if you're traveling light, it's a great spot.

The hotel is just across the street from the lake. At the corner there’s this really nice restaurant that we ate at 2x. Other very near restaus too. The room is clean and spacious enough. The place is also a quick Didi from the main attractions, you can even walk to it if you want to. The staff team/owners were also quite nice and accommodating. Just warning if you arrive late and have no local number, might be hard to contact the staff. I had to call a local friend to call them.

Yu Yue Mansion is located in a fantastic central location. Walkable to tourist attractions such as 永庆坊 (YongQingFang) and 陈家祠 (Chen Clan Ancestral Hall). It is next to a beautiful river that offer boat rides and has plenty of amazing restaurants within walkable distance that I highly recommend (国强 for 肠粉, 广州酒家-龙津西路店 for 早茶点心 & 花雕乳鸽, 向群 for Canton food, 沙湾姜撞奶 for milk pudding, TOK TOK for craft beer & cocktails and many more). We booked the rooftop garden duplex suite for 3 people. The room was super spacious and clean; beds were on the firmer side which is what we prefer. Even though it was in a central location it was still nice and quiet inside the room, we could not hear any noise from outside. The only downside of this place is that it has no lifts/elevators or escalators, so we had to trek four floors every day lol... That aside, staff at Yu Yue Mansion were all really friendly (especially 琳琳姐 who was the one that gave us all the food recommendations & 张先生) with the occasional special appearance of our furry friend.

Check-in at the front desk was incredibly quick and seamless. The room boasted abundant natural light, and the bedding felt wonderfully soft against the skin. The location is superb, with attractions and a wide variety of dining options just a 5-minute walk away. At check-out, the staff proactively offered assistance, and our entire stay was completely hassle-free. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next visit.

Not easy to find, I found using Amap was not giving me an accurate location - so you need to use map on your phone like a paper map. Lum lum welcomed me & advised me security & related procedures. Spacious, fairly clean room with all I needed. The Liwan area is gorgeous 😍 with lots of food & beverage outlets.

The ambiance is excellent, and the location is superb and very convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. The owner is also incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!

Had a truly great stay. It felt completely unlike a commercial hotel; instead, it was as comfortable and welcoming as visiting a friend's home. You'll find it just to the left of a highly-rated *changfen* (rice noodle roll) restaurant, it's the third shop along. The location is fantastic, surrounded by delicious eateries and super convenient. The owner was incredibly helpful, carrying our luggage to the room and patiently guiding us on how to use the door code. A big plus: after check-out, they even stored our bags, which made exploring the city hassle-free before our departure. Truly excellent service! The room was spacious and the AC worked perfectly.

This guesthouse is a real gem! The location is super convenient – it's easy to get to Guangzhou Restaurant and Panxi for dim sum, and to Jinjin, Xiangqun for dinner. Mingji for rice rolls and Tianfangyuan for desserts are also very accessible. You can really tell the owner puts a lot of effort into this place; everything feels just right. Yongqing Fang is within walking distance, and there's also Wong Kee Roasted Meats nearby. I didn't have enough time this trip, but I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Guangzhou, and make sure to try Jinjin Cantonese cuisine and Wong Kee's roast goose.

The environment is beautiful and the location is excellent. Ming Kee downstairs is delicious, and the front desk auntie was very friendly and helpful! Very good! 👍

I loved the location - in the older more traditional ‘Xiguan’ area of Liwan. Wonderful to walk around and a great base for exploring the city. Much more pedestrian friendly this side of town. Great restaurants and street food nearby (several 4+ rated on dianping right on the doorstep), and the beautiful Liwan Lake Park, with all its daily liveliness and afternoon operas. Probably the most beautiful area of Guangzhou (that I’ve seen).  The hotel is a small business. Friendly and personal. No big foyer and concierge, and alleyway rather than road access. The alleys in Guangzhou are beautiful and full of life, so to me this was a plus. Passcode entrance at night.  The hotel is clean, casual but professional, low key and a bit special. Enjoyed it so much I ended up extending my stay.  The room is very generously sized. This room has two small balconies, great for relaxing in the afternoon with the sites and sounds of the trees and neighbourhood.  Bed is quite firm but I found it very comfortable. Good quality linen, pillows and towels. Big shower and clean bathroom.  And kittens (if you’re lucky and visit while they’re still small).

This is a small hotel with all the good feel. Took us a bit to find the hotel from where our taxi dropped us. This hotel is located along an alleyway. No cars can go in. So, when the taxi dropped us and with hardly functioning foreign map app, we almost couldn't find the hotel. But once we found it, we felt a big rock removed from our chests. The reception was very nice. She came out to greet us when we were searching for the hotel. Talked a bunch and recommended us places to eat nearby. This hotel is within the liwan district with many old buildings and river walk etc. It's a nice quiet place compared to the buzzling Beijing road. You can walk to the metro train station nearby. The room has everything you need. It was clean. They have a lovely cat in the lobby.

Amazing place to stay! Great location next to a beautiful park and close to the metro in an old district of Guangzhou in the city center. Very friendly and helpful owners, too. The design is very exquisite and we felt very comfortable. Within 5 weeks of traveling to various parts of china this was the best hotel we've stayed in!

The location is excellent, right in an area brimming with Guangzhou's traditional eateries. Famous spots like Ming Kee Cheong Fun, Ling Kee, and Fanghua Garden are all within a five-minute walk. Guangzhou Restaurant, renowned for its top-tier dim sum, is also conveniently close by. The owner was exceptionally hospitable. Noticing we had elderly family members who might have difficulty with stairs, they promptly switched our room and even gave us daily recommendations for delicious local food. Being just an 8-minute walk from Yongqing Fang, it's perfect for an immersive experience of Lingnan culture.
