The hotel stay was fantastic! One of the best and most luxurious hotels I have stayed in. It was huge and a family of 4 could stay comfortably. Wanted to get a day bed for my daughter but she was comfortable sleeping on the huge sofa. The facilities were complete and staff was great and help was given whenever it was needed. Every time my cab arrived at the hotel there was definitely someone opening the door for us.

Hotel room: 0 (zero) star Hotel location: 4 (four) stars Hotel staff services: 5 (five stars) We checked into a room on 1/25/2024 for a 6-night stay. We realized the room smelled smoke even though we requested a non-smoking room. The worst was the bathroom's strong, moldy, foul smell, which is a health hazard and unacceptable. On top of it, the in-room HVAC thermostat doesn't work, which we didn't notice until the next morning. We suffered without fresh air circulation and high room temperature all night long. The following day, thanks to the friendly, accommodating front desk staff, we could change to another room with no issues like the previous one. Even the room we changed to also has maintenance issues, such as the ceiling light above the nightstand hanging loose from the ceiling and exploding electrical wires. And the bathroom Faucet is loose, etc., unfortunately. Besides the exceptional overall staff services, the hotel is conveniently located in a local neighborhood, a perfect alternative for tourists who want to experience the truth of Guangzhou. Suppose Baiyun Hotel is positioned as an international five-star hotel. In that case, besides sustaining excellent staff services, improving room maintenance, upgrading the aging hotel, and paying attention to the details is essential. Outstanding staff service or a profound hotel history couldn't substitute necessities such as an operational thermostat or a foul smell in the bathroom. Having said that, I wouldn't consider Baiyun Hotel when we visit Guangzhou next time, nor would I recommend it to others due to my experiences with the hotel room.

The hotel is located in a cbd, very close to the park and convenient. The room is clean and very comfortable, the bed is extremely soft. We had a good sleep, but I think something wrong with the air conditioning system, it was still quite warm in the room even we adjust the temperature to 16-18c.. We asked one of the staffs for help if they can fix it but we didn’t get any answer even after check-out. Anyway, overall was good.

It was great to be able to make last minute cancellations due to changes in travel plans. The hotel reservations comes with fee breakfast making it convenient. The downside to this hotel is that it is located on level 5 and the only access is through the lift. It gets crowded during peak periods and the wait for the lift can be rather long. Hope that there is ample escape routes in the vent of fire. Nice lounge area.

The staff were all very nice and friendly, also appreciated the free shuttle service to the nearest train station and also the airport. My only problem is the toilet in the rooms. One of them were clogged, and they toilet doors had no locks which means no privacy and whoever stays with you might walk in on you by accident. There’s also only overhead shower and no hand held shower heads. There’s also nothing to watch on the TV but u can do mirroring from your phone. The room we stayed in were also not very sound proof, I’ve got woken up a few times by neighbours opening and closing the door loudly and also hear their chitchats in the corridors.

Our order has 2 breakfast everyday but the hotel record only shows 1. We have to show the trip.com confirmation (luckily husband has printed it out, we can't find it again from the order) and they checked that their record is wrong. Billy at the reception doesn't smile and I think he should ask me to add 1 more breakfast (because there is discount to add in advance) but he didn't do so and make me spent half hour to prove I should have 2 breakfast in the next morning. The manager Yannes has apologized and let us have breakfast in the VIP lounge (also free for tea time and happy hour). The food is only average. The waitress asked me if the food okay, I said the bread of the egg benedict is too soft. Then she answered usually people dont' eat the bread. Do you think her answer is so strange? The hotel is grand, the garden and pond is beautiful, room is cozy but you can hear the noise in the next room. The cleaning lady has good smile and polite. Very close to the MTR station and the restaurant Dim Dou Duck.

The biggest hotel I’ve stayed in Guangzhou. Was very happy to see the huge room with a separate living area, bathtub, separate shower and toilet. Then the leakage happened. What a shame, don’t know why there is a flood whenever we use the shower. The bathtub, toilet area and sink area is fine, but the water will flood most of the toilet floor after shower, and the worst is there will be a foul smell that comes after. Shower room is just next to the beds, so we ensure the shower door is shut when we sleep to keep the smell away. Other than the shower mishap, everything is perfect, I was surprised to see they even have different charging lines near the dresser and the tv area, very thoughtful!Location is the best, shopping plaza just across the road with a delicious dim sum restaurant on the 2nd floor, be sure to go early, I reached close to 11am and que for almost an hour to get a seat. The super market in the shopping plaza is expensive but the bread offers buy 2 free 1 if you go after 8pm, the bread is so tasty, I brought back to sg and ate for 2 days it still taste very good. Bought kiwis and persimmon back to sg and both taste very good as well. Subway is just 3 mins away and easily to get taxis from the hotel or from the roadside. Walk about 30 mins to qing hui yuan, one of the famous garden in Guangzhou, visit the huang fei hong and ye wen gallery. Take the subway 2 stops to Beijing bu xing jie, plenty of shops and vibrant place, it’s a must go. Really love the location of this old hotel, so convenient and surrounded by shopping and eateries, just need to make sure to have a shower room that doesn’t leak.

I was a solo traveler so the main problem for me was plenty running screaming children in the hallway. The door to my room didn’t block all the noise from the outside so I could hear those children running and yelling most all the time. I understand maybe this hotel is a family friendly one but at least try to give some quiet space for travelers without kids. The room was clean and nice, the view from the room was amazing because of the location. The breakfast is nice as well not mentioning the same running children in the restaurant which could cause to some unpleasant accidents.

The cleaning needs to improve as I told the cleaner the bed had yogurt sour smell, she didn’t change the quilt cover and bed sheet, only did easy job-changed the pillow covers. At night I couldn’t sleep because of the smell. Then I rang the service and told them the situation. They sent 2 room service ladies and changed the bed sheets and quilt covers straight away.

Jumeirah living is great experience for apartment services. We actually like jumeirah hotel more but we wanted to experience apartment aswell. Apartment has its own charm. It was very clean, enjoyed the jacuzzi bath. The space is huge and with all the necessary equipments. We couldn’t order the food from the hotel but we could order online food which was convenient aswell. The swimming pool is always the best thing to do in jumeirah. I think it’s the best pool in Guangzhou w tropical trees and vertical gardens. Very relaxing. And breakfast is amazing Egg Benedict . The ambiance is great. Jumeirah is very good with garden landscapes even in restaurant all the plants are real. And the most highlight is the live performer. We realized in the end that music was actually live performance. Highly recommended hotel. Best hotel in Guangzhou.

Exceptional hotel with prime location for fair visiting. Connected to the Expo Complex with footbridge on 3/F. I was given a corner room with 270 degrees view of the city for one night. Room service was delicious and just what I needed to recharge after a full day of booth browsing. Buffet breakfast was outstanding and plenty to keep me going for the rest of the day without lunch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Elevator may get crowded and takes a while to queue when guests flooded back after each day. Westin had an exclusive golf cart shuttle across the footbridge but unfortunately no driver was available during my stay. Overall I'd rate this hotel 95/100 and will definitely return for the next fair.

Visited during Lighting Exhibition and the main purpose of selecting this hotel was its close proximity to Exhibition center. I book twin suite room at 35% price of Shangri-la Hotel which is near to exhibition area too. It was a business visit so I did not have any high expectations. Room was very nice and spacious and there was a washing machine, microwave and many electric sockets. Room had big french windows directly facing the Exhibition area. Best part of the stay was its distance to Exhibition and it just took me 10 minutes walk to reach C Area and another 10 minutes to reach B Area through the bridge. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here — the construction during the period only affected us on our first day (cleaning of windows). It was the NYE/New Year’s period and the Beijing Road area was always bustling and crowded but the security here did their jobs well. The room facilities are also new and clean. Only downside was the hdmi port of the TV wasn’t really accessible, but Apple TV casting could be used. The security was also friendly to us as we had some parcels throughout our stay. Oh and, Mcdonalds and Chagee (and many other malls) are located right beside the hotel — score!

Not sure if is from the previous guest, but I can still smell a hint of it until the next morning. There is a smoke detector but it is covered with paper and scotch tape, not sure who did that. Quite disturbing for me who doesn't smoke. - Overall cleanliness should be improved, there are bottles and tissue under the clothing rack, with dusty corners. - Lift is shared with others (level 2 and 3 was escape room and something else, couldn't remember exactly). But card access is needed for the hotel level.

The hotel is a typical Jin Jiang Inn hotel (stayed in a couple of hotels of this brand). Rather clean and comfortable to stay (when all day you go sightseeing and come to the hotel to take a shower and sleep). The only things I did not expect is the so called “window facing hallway”; it wasn’t hallway at all, but a kind of a well with some horrible light which was on 24/7 creating a sensation of a day light. To sleep one needs to shut the curtains very well, otherwise it’s really annoying. (See on the pictures) the AC works okay, but needs some cleaning. A couple of times during our stay we had some blackouts, so we called the reception to fix this problem. The curtains also need to be changed, as they are filthy.
