"A lovely quiet location away from the noise of the town centre but close enough to walk easily. Our room had a small private deck and a bath. Breakfast was included and was cooked to order. The staff were attentive and helpful and very caring when I had a medical emergency, not hesitating to provide me with first aid (there was a lot of blood and they didn’t flinch at cleaning and dressing my wound). Bonus is the lovely ginger cat!"

"The view from the hotel was amazing and was definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, several issues took away from the overall experience. There is no phone in the room, so every time we needed assistance we had to go up and down three flights of stairs to reception. When we went down to get the Wi-Fi code, the handwritten note was so unclear that we couldn’t connect and eventually gave up trying. The toilet seat was completely loose, which was very uncomfortable and not ideal at all. We also had no hot water for our shower. Breakfast was extremely limited, with virtually no options available. We travel around the world and have stayed in many different places, and in our opinion this hotel is very overpriced for what it offers. The staff did try to make it up to us the next day, but since we were only staying one night, it didn’t really help. For the price we paid, we were expecting a true 5-star experience."
