Guatemala City Hotels with Parking

We loved Barcelo Guatemala City hotel. We arrived around 7 pm at the airport, the shuttle driver was already waiting for us at the arrival area, the hotel had nice, clean van and it’s only 5 minutes from the airport. Fast check in, the hotel is big and clean, our room was on the 8th floor with 2 balconies. We had a king bed and they provided us with 2 bottled water and a tray of fruits. They have a pool but we didn’t have enough time to enjoy it. Breakfast was very nice, they have different guatemalan food choices for breakfast everyday like fajita, plantains, beans. They also have the usual eggs, bread, cheeses, yogurt, cold cuts and lots of fresh fruits. The servers were so kind. We also ate at the restaurants inside the hotel, Kyoto for japanese cuisine and Strikers for american food. We exchanged currency at the front desk everyday since we don’t know how much money we will spend for every tour. We made Barcelo our base hotel and took tours everyday. We did Hobbitenango, Antigua, Chichicastenango, Guatemala city tour and Lake Atitlan with San Juan la Laguna, which we all booked via Viator, we were lucky that most tours it was only the 2 of us. There is a supermarket Paiz just one block from the hotel where we bought drinks and snacks. The area is very safe and the hotel has 24/7 guards at the lobby and gate. We also booked the shuttle going back to the airport, our flight was at 6am and we took the first shuttle at 4 am, plenty of time to get to the airport, security and immigration. I’ve been there two days ago for a one day visit of Ciudad de Guatemala (which I recommend!) two days ago. Very nice place with welcoming people. It is quite close to the airport, a 20 minutes bus ride from the center in a nice residential neighborhood. The tropical garden is very relaxing and beautiful, the room was okay, maybe a bit on the dark side because it was ground floor, but nicely set up in a traditional way. The restaurant could offer more vegetarian options, but all we had was good. I recommend and would come back!

Great service, Freddy and jaisel helped us marvelously! Food and service always great. We love to come and know that the menu is always going to be high-end and also the service is phenomenal. We prefer to stay in this hotel, not only for the room rooms but also for the service and the food in the restaurant Hibiscus!

I only stayed at the hotel briefly due to a late flight arrival and an early flight the next day. However, the room was decent and it was close to the airport which was all that mattered. When I checked out in the early hours of the morning there was no staff to check me out so I just gave the key card to the security.

The breakfast is very good. The location is very good. The front desk and restaurant waiter are warm and patient. The luggage storage and hotel driver transfer service are also in place. This is a great hotel. If you come again next time, definitely choose this hotel.

I was unable to get in the security gate for the neighborhood giving only the hotels name and street address, but as I had a local phone, I called the property and they gave the street address with number of address (20-50 added to Diagonal 26, along with hotel name), and security let us in. Arriving a few minutes later, the taxi left, and I rolled my luggage to a locked door at the address and pushed the buzzer...nothing. I pushed the other buzzer with a individual's name...nothing. Buzzed again....nothing. Luckily (again) I had my phone and called the hotel where the offsite worker asked if I had pressed the buzzer, then said they would have the assistant open the door for me. A few minutes later, I was met and ushered in, and when shown to my room was not provided a key. The room locks from inside, so that was fine. I believe the nearly empty hotel had a staffing issue at this time and the friendly, helpful, courteous person helping was not a regular check-in employee, , accounting for all of the above issues. After settling in, the room was spotlessly clean, spacious, great views of the mountainside, quiet, SOOOOO very close to the airport, had breakfast available for a small fee, free airport shuttle was perfectly on time. I would stay here again.

I called this place to make sure my family members would be able to check in with no issues. As a diamond member I’ve never had issues like this. I booked the reservation and added the person that would be checking in. Not thinking that I needed to put the number of people in the room because I purchased the type of room I needed that accommodated 3 guest. My mother in law and brothers in law were picking up my daughters from the airport the following morning so I had my in laws check in. When they got there to check in the front desk wanted to charge us 35 per person. I specifically paid 15k points that accommodated 4 and it was only 3 guest. It didn’t matter whether it was 2 or 3 on the reservation the points were the same. But there they wanted to charge 35 per person. Then as diamonds we normally get something like breakfast. Well the front desk made sure they told my 76 year old mother in law, no breakfast is allowed for them. I am extremely upset with how they were treated. I don’t care if we purchased the breakfast the fact that they immediately said to them and no breakfast for you all made it seem Like they were allowed to dine. Never using this place ever again.

This was a very convenient overnight stop before an early morning flight. The staff were great and arranged to-go lunch boxes and a taxi for our 3:30am departure to the airport which was only 10 minutes away. Lots of western and fast food options within a five minute walk including Applebys, TGIF, MacDonalds, Burger King and Pappa Johns. Lots of other hotels in the neighbourhood, but Best Western offered the best price for our overnight purposes.

Conqueror Hotel has good service, has patience, and can seriously answer customer questions. The hotel shuttle is very convenient. Hotel facilities in place and good health. The hotel is convenient for foreign currency exchange. It was a pleasant stay. Thank you!

The photos make this little hotel look generic ... it's anything but . If you like boutique but without the price tag, book a night here and enjoy. Quiet, good neighborhood, comfortable beds, upscale, and friendly. They even offer a simple dinner if you want to stay in. This is my Guat City hotel, for sure.
