Urban Local Stay in the Heart of Yaowarat Shin Hotel Chinatown is a stay for travelers who want to experience Yaowarat like a local. Located in the heart of Chinatown, close to Yaowarat Road, Sampeng Market, and famous street food spots, you can step out to explore the old town at night and return to rest in a quieter atmosphere away from the main road. The rooms are designed to be simple, clean, and highly functional— ideal for travelers who value location, comfort, and good value for money. Whether you’re staying for a short trip or several nights, Shin is a great base for living right in the heart of Chinatown. Shin Hotel Chinatown is perfect for guests who: Want to explore Yaowarat at night without the hassle of traveling far Are looking for an affordable stay in the city center Prefer a minimal, cool, and calm place to stay Stay at Shin — and truly live the Yaowarat lifestyle.

"The room is spacious, and the shower is almost as big as the room itself! Check-in is also non-face-to-face; send your personal information via Line message, and at 2 PM, you'll receive a password via text message. However, if you arrive before 2 PM, you won't even be able to enter the room, which can be a bit tricky. However, there's a luggage storage area on the first floor. The entrance may look simple, but it wasn't a problem at all for my stay, and the proximity to Chinatown made it convenient for exploring."

"Room was spacious. What we loved about this hotel is the proximity on all shopping areas. The staff were very accommodating.they assist us in getting our big luggages. Cons- bolt and grab does not want to go inside the alley where the hotel is located. Better to ride a tuktuk or arrange airport pickup or dropoff."

GGuest UserThis facility goes out of its way to be a comforting stay. The room is very clean, toiletries are provided, slippers, and water and complimentary cake snacks. The only areas I felt were lacking was primarily lighting, and water heat and pressure. There is no bedside lighting, which leaves the guest with a very bright overhead light. Not something I wanted at the end of a day. It was either use this light or you're in the dark. Water barely was hot for me. Perhaps it is better in other rooms. It was not something I felt I needed to complain about however. Other than that I feel like I got good value for the price.

SS.PorterWill go back for sure . The room is pretty clean and nice. The rooftop view is fantastic. Staff are really nice and friendly. It’s hard to find but worth it. I told the taxi driver to drop me off at Marine Department and walk to hotel few minutes. You can take the boat ride from Marine Dept. too it’s convenient

GGuest UserThis place was surprisingly great! The location is close to Chatuchak weekend market so it’s not that close from the center center but you have a huge market nearby and the BTS around the corner (6min walk). The hotel is a little dated as most reviews mentioned but they’ve done a great job in making sure it’s super clean and staff are friendly/helpful. You can leave your bag if you have the day still but you need to check out which was a plus for me. The room is really spacious, has a desk, a small dining area, a king size comfy bed and there was a balcony as well which I had no idea it had. The amenities were hair nets, and attached to wall - soap and shampoo. There was a kettle, fridge and they provide water bottles for free. The AC was quite old and made noise at night but I used ear plugs and no problem. TV doesn’t work. Breakfast - which was another plus - is really nothing to rave about. Some interesting dishes of chicken, sausage, rice and/or noodles things, as well as eggs. They had white toast... Just all felt very super market frozen things heated up and seasoned with tons of MSG. Coffee also not so good and no real milk just powder, but was nice to sit and have something to wake up to :) . Overall I was really impressed, I recommend it if you’re on a budget but still want a little extra and don’t mind riding the BTS around.

RRoseyanThe rooms are decorated in a Japanese style ~ they are beautiful. However, the bathtub is 🔥water cannot reach the bathtub🥲🥲The TV has Netflix, but it is not accessible and cannot be watched. . . It's close to the road and may be noisy (´・_・`) But the system is generally good and the space is sufficient.

SSMertSThe receptionist was kind, the location was excellent, everything inside was spotless, and there was plenty of space. There was even a coffee machine, so I made my own coffee. The bathtub was nice too. Additionally, for those interested in playing, there was even a Yamaha piano inside. Overall, it’s definitely a hotel that meets expectations. If I come to this area again, I already know where I’ll be staying. Also, having a projector instead of a television created a cinema-like atmosphere when we turned off the lights. I didn’t encounter any of the negative reviews I saw on Google or other sites.

GGuest UserWe booked a Triple bed room for 5 days(3 guests only room). There were 4 of us guests but we were able to make adjustments of letting the extra person stay in our room (thankfully the reception allowed us :> we only had to pay less than 200THB each night the guest stays with us.) The service was great for us! (being not too picky, we are fine with simple things), we didn’t expect a cleaning service each day or whenever we leave the room to go somewhere (which we are thankful for!) The place is good^^ We arrived at the Airport around 11pm and had to exchange money and claim stuff there (and got lost), then we arrived at the hotel around 1am (I missed a day for check-in since we booked for Nov. 4-9 and only checked in on Nov 5, but we were still able to check in and their reception was still open that time) ^-^ Overall, we’d say that our stay was good! Thank you! Additional comments: - yes the hotel is around ~10 mins away (walking) from the BTS Station - Paid 500THB deposit when we checked-in and was able to receive the whole deposit back once we checked-out - Near multiple 7-Eleven stores - Near Clubs, Bars, and Karaoke places - Reception staffs were okay!! (I observed that some reviews said they were negative, but they were nice and good for us though?) - walking distance to Big C sub branch - Hot water (for coffee or noodles) is available at the lounge area - has a cute fridge, wardrobe (although it only has 3-4 wire hangers), a cute sofa chair, AC, and a balcony This was my first booking thru Trip, com and it’s great^^ - MJS 🇵🇭

GGuest UserI wasn't sure if I would make it before the front desk closed. I had noted in my booking that I might arrive an hour late, but I didn't receive a response. So, I was mentally prepared to find alternative accommodation upon arrival. Despite being an hour late, a very kind young man was still there to check me in. A huge thank you to him! The capsule itself was very comfortable and spacious, with a shelf inside. The thick curtain was a huge plus. It was quiet at night, and the showers and toilets were clean. I found it a bit odd that the blanket was essentially a huge towel; I've never seen that before. The location is excellent. It's about half an hour from the airport by metro (to the second-to-last station), and then a 5-minute walk from that metro station. The Baiyoke Sky observation deck is nearby, the aquarium is about a 20-minute walk away, and there are many shopping malls (Central World, Siam Paragon, etc.) close by.

TTravelllerOnly few rooms have balconies. Other rooms do not have window now balcony and so you might feel congested. However, the bathroom has ventilation. The rooms have wardrobe without doors, small chair, narrow bathroom. The walls look aged and need some paint. There is 500 THB key deposit. The building has elevator but if it doesn't work, then you have to take a spiral staircase to go up or down. It's very annoying to carry your heavy bag along the spiral staircase. While going up or down, you can see all the dusty interiors along the staircase wall. It's not worth. Better pay extra and live elsewhere. But if you want to pay less, then it's a good value for money.
