I had booked my room two months in advance and had paid the full amount. However, when I arrived at the hotel that night, I realized that the room I had chosen had not been reserved for me and had been given to someone else.
The purpose of my trip was to relax and reduce my anxiety, and I had carefully planned everything. But when I arrived at the hotel on the first night, exhausted from the flight, the situation was very upsetting. They offered me a triple room instead of the room I had selected, arguing that it was actually more expensive! However, the higher price was only because it had three beds, which was completely useless for me. I would have preferred to get my original room.
In the end, after a lot of frustration, after midnight, I had no choice but to accept the room they gave me in exchange for a partial refund and go to sleep. I was both angry and exhausted.
The next day, I left the hotel early in the morning for sightseeing, while my belongings were still in the room. Two or three hours later, Trip.com contacted me and asked whether I had left the hotel completely, saying my belongings were still there and asking whether they should keep the room for me or not.
Oh my God! This was really strange and unbelievable. How can a place be so disorganized that it doesn’t even keep a reserved room, and then the next day, as soon as you leave for leisure, they immediately look for an opportunity to kick you out?
I explained to the Trip.com operator that I had only left the hotel for sightseeing.
Daily housekeeping was not provided, and they didn’t even replace the trash bags. The room I was forced to accept was in the basement, and I had to endure constant noise the entire time.
The shower head was broken and wouldn’t stay in place, so I had to hold it above my head with one hand the whole time just to take a shower.
The hot water was sometimes unavailable, so I had to take cold showers.
Overall, it was a very bad experience. For this price, it was absolutely not worth it. Don’t be misled by the surrounding nature—it’s better to choose a reputable hotel.
Although the Trip refunded part of my payment, the hotel’s irresponsibility and the stress it caused—which affected my entire vacation —cannot be compensated with money.
