Guilin Guijia Hotel (Elephant Trunk Hill & Sun Moon Twin Towers Branch) is a decent budget option if you prioritize location over modern aesthetics. The hotel itself is definitely on the older side, but the room was surprisingly spacious with plenty of floor space to spread out. Just a heads-up on the room layout: my room had a "fake window" that opened up to an interior wall rather than the outside world, which was pretty funny! The lighting in the room is also quite dim and not very bright, giving it a very muted atmosphere. Where this place really shines is the location and service. It's super convenient for walking to major spots like Elephant Trunk Hill and the Sun and Moon Twin Towers, making sightseeing a breeze. On top of that, the staff are genuinely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, if you don't mind an older property, dim lighting, and a funny window situation, it’s a solid, convenient spot to rest your head while exploring Guilin.

I've stayed in their double and single rooms on the third floor before, and they were always pretty good. This time, I was in a single room on the second floor and there was a persistent musty smell that wouldn't go away. Honestly, for this location, it's still good value for money though.

The room was very spacious and offered great value for money. The front desk staff, especially the lady, provided excellent service. The location is super convenient for food, with a snack street right outside, making food delivery a breeze. It's also very close to the tourist attractions.

Large room with large bathroom. Lots of restaurants around, close to the shopping malls and public transportation. There's also a spa next to it.

Great location, just a few minutes' walk to the Twin Pagodas. The hotel rooms are well-equipped, clean, and tidy. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming, offering professional and personalized service. I would recommend this to friends or stay here again next time I visit Guilin.

This hotel is super close to Elephant Trunk Hill and conveniently located for exploring the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area. There are also plenty of shopping options nearby, especially since it's practically next door to Guilin Department Store, which is a huge plus. The room rates are quite reasonable, and the rooms themselves are very spacious. Parking is easy too, with an underground garage available.

The hotel looks a bit sketchy and the staff aren’t very helpful but the room is fantastic - super clean and comfortable and a good bathroom with hot shower.

The hotel pictures were misleading. They made the place look acceptable, but when I arrived, I found the entrance was tucked away in a small alley. It wasn't very prominent, but at least cars could get in and out. The underground parking garage was like a dungeon – dark, dilapidated, and with low, uneven ceilings. It was incredibly difficult to find the elevator and stairwell exit. I finally found an elevator, only to realize I was on the wrong floor once I got to the first level, completely disoriented. I had to go back down to the basement to search again. After literally bending down and squeezing through a passageway, I finally found the right elevator to the hotel's first-floor reception, lol! The person managing vehicle access was also odd; they wouldn't let us drive in without a hotel voucher, hehe. My family checked in while I was parking, so I figured we'd just make do. But then the process of getting to the room was like navigating a maze, going round and round. The room wasn't soundproofed at all, and the air conditioner's outdoor unit was buzzing loudly. I called to request a room change, and a security guard in uniform came, took a look, and then left without any follow-up. Sigh. As for the sanitary facilities, they were just so-so.

The room is very spacious, and the location is incredibly convenient. It's very close to Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas, both within walking distance. What's more, it's incredibly affordable, offering fantastic value for money. This hotel, which we switched to at the last minute, is truly a hidden gem!

The soundproofing was terrible, making it incredibly noisy. The room was also very damp and overpriced. Overall, my experience was very negative. It feels like hotels in Guilin are generally overpriced simply because it's a tourist spot, making the whole city feel too commercialized.
