This hostel is on the third floor, right in front of a bustling street with tons of food options. There are travel tips on the wall. You have to change your own bed linen, which makes me feel more at ease knowing it's clean. It's mostly young people here, which is nice.

I was really touched by the atmosphere here! There's a guestbook filled with scribbled notes from travelers passing through, which was both interesting and heartwarming to read. In just a few days, I met so many lovely people here; it felt like a temporary family, and I really didn't want to leave. Though goodbyes are meant for future hellos, our brief encounter left me with precious memories. And finally, how could anyone refuse going for a swim with the owner in the summer? It was super fun!!!

Right next to Zhengyang Street, it's a bit tricky to find. You have to go down a small alley next to the Xishang Hotel, and then you'll spot a small sign. The location is convenient, very close to the Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area. The room is quite small, but it has everything you need, including a place to dry clothes and a washing machine (5 kuai per wash). The bed is pretty good, though you have to make it yourself. The common area is small, but good for eating and chatting. The owner is very nice and even has a Corgi. There are two bathrooms with showers. My only suggestion would be to inform guests about hostel etiquette upon check-in, or perhaps post it somewhere in the hostel. Some guests might be new to hostels; I was woken up at 2:30 AM by someone talking loudly on the phone in the room. If guests were reminded beforehand, everyone might be more considerate. Overall, very satisfied!

Very cosy and beautiful hostel, the female dorm is very functional with curtains, individual lights, lockers, AC, comfy pillow and blanket! The location is very central, right beside the night market and all the main attractions of the city are walkable. The owner is extremely helpful and kind, always ready to give good advice. Perfect place !

The location of hostel is very convenient to visit Elephant Trunk Hill and near by lake area. The owner was very helpful, he guided and also connected me with guide for Guilin Yangshuo Cruise. The corgi was very friendly and playful.

I didn't have high expectations for Guilin, so I only planned to stay one night. But this hostel made me fall in love with the city. I rarely write reviews, but I genuinely miss this place. Although small, the hostel is incredibly warm and cozy, making you feel right at home. I met people from all over the world here, and I'll definitely be back next time. I'd love to go out and explore with the owner next time too! Of all goodbyes, 'see you next time' is my favorite.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in and exactly the Guilin experience I wanted. The location is amazing and there are some very good food places a few hundred metres away. The hostel itself is very social as most are solo travellers meaning it’s very easy to make friends and travel to some areas together. It also feels very homely and the decor is very stylish. The boss is pretty much always around in person or via WeChat so if you have any questions or problems you can ask him. He can also help you out with finding a shared taxi to some further towns. He also does regular trips to some hidden-gems in Guilin like visiting waterfalls, walking in caves and seeing the sunset meaning for a unique and unforgettable experience that very few travellers will get! The hostel is very clean too, the boss is always cleaning and tidying up. Other bonuses are the boss’ very cute and friendly corgi who comes to visit multiple times a day. I will definitely come back and stay here another time :)

Genuinely one of the best hostels i’ve stayed in china! the boss is super chill and organises day trips with everyone! it means we can get to secret spots and can make wonderful travel friends! everyone there is so friendly and welcoming i will cherish these memories for sure

Located on the third floor of a residential building, with the unit door facing west – easy to find if you have a good sense of direction. Downstairs is the Shizijie Pedestrian Street, where you can easily buy snacks and fruits. The owner occasionally organizes various city tours to less-known destinations, away from typical tour groups, so you might consider joining a group activity. Chara usually appears between 1 PM and 3 PM; it's not a guest, so encountering it requires a bit of luck 🤗

The overall experience was great, with a relaxed and comfortable hostel vibe. The common areas were clean and tidy, the bunk beds were comfortable, and the washrooms were well-equipped. The owner was warm and attentive, and the location was convenient. It was hassle-free for both getting around and resting, offering excellent value for money. Highly recommended for short trips.

This hostel is my idea of perfection! I got to meet and connect with so many amazing people from all over, sharing meals, hiking, and playing board games. I had such a blast during my two-plus days here. The owner is incredibly, unbelievably, super, super, super nice! See you next time!

I traveled alone this time and stayed here for several nights. I went out with the owner for three days, and it was really fun. The sights we visited and the routes we took were very unique. The owner and the other guests staying here were all very friendly. This was my first time staying in a youth hostel like this, and I hope to come back again!

Amazing location, and great service, despite the self check in. Super cute place, bit difficult to find though, as the sign outside is a little small. Would recommend a stay here, for sure. Top tier location.
