I am waiting for you in Guilin Youth Hostel (Liangjiang Sihu East-West Alley) Reviews

When I read the reviews, I feel this place is really awesome. But getting there, I have a little bit of a hard time finding the location. Then, when I arrive, the boss is not here so some people staying there open the door for me. The dog is so cute and nice! The toilets are really clean and the place itself (room) is a bit dusty. When my roommate moves above, my bed moves a little as well, which can be a bit of a bother. But the biggest problem, that made me leave, is that the beds are sooooooo hard, I never experiences that before. And also, there are no curtains, so you get light on your face hard time. Of course, you have curtains for your bed, but you don't have curtains at the window, which is a bummer. Last thing, I checked out very very late but the owner let me not pay an extra day because I changed plan, this is really awesome.

The I am waiting for you in Guilin Youth Hostel is without doubt one of the coolest Hostels I have ever stayed in! I stayed for two days as a solo traveler. The Hostel is located right next to the Guilin pedestrian street area. At night there are many food stands. In the Hostel it was super easy to make new friends and the owner regularly takes the guests on little trips around the Guilin countryside - we went to a beautiful place at the Lijiang river. The beds are also good to sleep in :-)

Small but clean and comfortable hostel in excellent position. The owner is friendly and helpful and can provide the ticket for the cruise to Yangshui for the half of the price that I paied online.

The hostel offers you everything you need for your stay. It‘s small, but very homey. Big shoutout to the hostel owner for always providing good food spots, outdoor activities and help how to get around. One Love.

It was great ! The owner brung me and other guest to à super spot for swimming as soon as I arrived ! He helped with all my planning for Yangshuo Definitely recommend

Great place in between shops and attractions! They organise visits to the most important places outside the city, which is very useful. The place was clean and in order. Only “negative point” is that they do not have a reception, so if you are really in need, WeChat is the only option.

It’s a good place to stay if you want the cheapest place, the bed is hard and the room is a little messy! But the owner is a amazing guy! And have a hostel atmosphere.

I can 100% recommend this hostel! It has everything you need, very central and a very cute shared living room. The atmosphere is amazing and the host is the perfect host!! I can highly highly recommend the tours he offers! Thank you for my really cool stay :)

Real hostel vibes, very social, not commercial at all. The owner is super invested and plans (usually paid) activities in nature everyday. The entire hostel is quite small but extensively decorated and has a very personal feel to it. Rooms and bathrooms are well equipped (international wall sockets, small lockers, hair dryers, tissues, shower gel, hangers). I very much recommend staying here if visiting Guilin, and I would come back without a doubt.

Cosy little room, on 4th floor (note no lift) of a different building from the hostel - good location to experience the local sights including Sunday morning dancing by the river. Only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom which was so small that I had to be careful not to fall into or drop anything into the squat toilet when taking a shower…

Very nice welcome in this hostel. It is a good place to socialize as a solo traveller.

Mister Hwang was such a kind and accommodating host. He helped me get set up with a very last-minute boat tour on the Li River and went out of his way to help me find a solution when my payment apps stopped working. He deserves all the good karma for the help me gave me, but besides that the hostel is also lovely. It is what you should expect for the value but the facilities are clean, the environment is friendly, and the location is excellent. Highly recommend!

Perfect location (20 meters from the walking street, and yet very quiet). Very clean ! Nice vibes.

Highlight of my trip in China so far. Hostel was the best social vibe with a great host that really knows the city. He also has planned tours that (I think) he leads so if you come with no plans you’ll be taken care of. I only stayed one night and also loved the location (but also had a tough time finding it - asked the ladies around the corner and they helped). I’ll add it’s true no towels were provided for me so I had brought my own, and the bunk does not have a “fluffy” mattress yet I somehow slept perfectly well (but I’ve been in China for a while so maybe used to that type of bed already).
