"Gujyo vacance Mura Hotel is the hotel of the bugs. There are many bus in the room. And when I went to ask the reception, they said it’s normal. The bug is in every room in the hotel. I think it’s not the normal thing for the visitor or the customer to sleep with a lot of bugs. At first, they refused to give us the new room because they said it is in every room. But later they give us the key of the new room, but when I open it, I found the bug too. "The hotel is beautiful and the staff are great. It feels very relaxed and calming in this hotel; all the staffs were Japanese. It’s a 15-20mins walk up to the Gujo Hachiman castle. Beautiful view. They have free parking facilities and free flow coffee/tea plus juices at lobby. Highly recommended."

"Miharaya is located right in the centre and 150m from the bus station Jokamachi Plaza. Easily walk to Gujo Hachiman Castle and Igawa street. The stream flowing by the side of the Ryokan is so clear you can see the bottom. It is totally serene and peaceful. The host service is par excellence. All are attentive helpful and go out of the way to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast the authentic Japanese style can be arranged at a very reasonable price and you can truly enjoy a typical Japanese meal which is served hot and precisely at the specified time. Well done Miharaya Ryokan."
North Village Hirugano - Camping Fields
"Even though the altitude is high, the temperature is high and it is hot outside, and it was even hotter inside the cottage, making it far from comfortable. Perhaps because the grass was quite long, there were a lot of insects, making it a difficult environment for those who don't like bugs. When I opened the door to ventilate the room, a lot of horseflies and moths came in. When I was leaving, I noticed a beehive near the bottom of the roof of the cottage, and since I have small children, I was very worried while cleaning it up. If you are using a cottage, it may be a good idea to check with the manager whether the bees have been exterminated before booking. I don't think I'll be using it during the hot summer months again, but it may be comfortable in winter."

It's just a 5-minute walk to the ski resort, and the food is not only delicious but also diverse and freshly prepared for every meal. During our stay over Christmas, the hotel even crafted a special Christmas menu for us. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return if I decide to ski at Hirugano Kogen again."

"For travelers without a car, the transportation is indeed quite inconvenient, but if you are driving, this guesthouse is very nice. The landlady and her daughter are very friendly and hospitable, and the granddaughter is adorable. The tatami bed has two bunk beds, and with the extra blanket, it's very comfortable and warm. It's very cozy to sit by the fireplace at night with a cup of hot tea, and you won't want to go back to your room. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful. It's a very charming and interesting guesthouse, and I will definitely come back. The menu shows wood-fired pizza, which I will definitely try next time. The only regret is that I only booked one day. Thank you so much for your hospitality."
