"I actually wouldn't know where to start because it wasn't some random staycation but rather them being a part of our big day. While their resort is beautiful & would have made a lovely venue for an outdoor wedding, we knew this property of theirs was the right match for us when we got to see their banquet hall "Xorai" in person & it looked exactly the way it shows itself to be in their photos. It wasn't some sham that had older photos & the property not being up kept. We loved how contemporary it was & yet so cozy for our family & friends given we wanted an intimate wedding. The Ambience of the hotel is really nice & the staff makes you feel right at home. The location of this property of theirs is also bang on when it comes to connectivity with accessibility, be it to the city, the airport or the National Highway to move upwards or to another state. And especially given it was monsoon, it being a no flooding zone was one of the key points of picking them, as no one would want their guests to experience being stuck in a flooding zone & not being able to go out to explore or entertain themselves. Plus the fact that, they were willing to shut down their patio cafe to turn it into the space for the pheras of a hindu wedding ceremony was really accomodating of them, given this property mostly host indoor events that don't have to deal with a live fire. So when I tell you about their service, their cleanliness, food & amenities you can bank on it because I had multiple visits & they didn't disappoint. It wasn't just for the wedding but them genuinely keeping everything tidy from their dining spaces to rooms & inculcating good work ethics into their staff for being attentive. I had multiple tastings in order to get the desired item & flavors for our guest from all around the country to experience the best of their food & incorporating local flavours. And in all this, Siddharth; the property manager has a big role to play given it was not just a day affair like some wedding lunch, but rather a full fledged weekend of guests coming in & out & his team accomodating the logistics of our multiple events & lunches & dinners. He made sure everything ran smoothly despite the LPG crisis & didn't let us compromise on the elaborate lunches & dinners we wanted our guests to experience. I am unable to express how utterly happy & satisfied I'm that he performed beyond his administration duties & was present like an elder brother to me. He made sure my guests didn't have any complaints & nothing falls shorts. He was present throughout the long nights & my go to person for every thing from small to unreasonable requests that he made happen. While I'm running short of words I'm genuinely so thankful of him & his staff for making our events so enjoyable that complements didn't stop pouring. "Staying at Greenwood Resort felt like a getaway far from the city, even though it’s right in Guwahati. Surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful trees with mountain ranges in the backdrop, the resort creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It truly made me forget all my worries! The service was good overall, and one of the highlights was their open-air restaurant, Bagan—such a vibe! The ambiance, food, and setting made for a perfect dining experience. A lovely surprise was that the hotel upgraded our room since we were celebrating our anniversary, which made our stay even more special. The only downside was the breakfast spread, which was quite disappointing. If you’re staying here, I’d recommend skipping breakfast and instead sleeping in and enjoying a leisurely brunch at Bagan. It’s paid, but totally worth it! Overall, a great place for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. Would definitely visit again!"
