The Kolon is situated outside of Gyeongju so if you don’t have a car a taxi is necessary. We had a car and drove into town in the evening to eat. It’s a large hotel in need of a bit of tlc now but our room was ok. Breakfast buffet was small but edible; staff helpful.

Very clean hotel with good service. The room is spacious with a nice terrace. The swimming pool is not very deep but good for kids. I didn't like the area as there are not many things to do around but is a good hotel to stay out of the city for a couple of days.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. My first impression was negative as the carpets in the hallways are stained, however, my opinion of the hotel quickly changed. While the rooms are small they are clean. The beds and pillows are very soft and comfortable. There is a shower curtain in the bathroom (a rarity in our travels in South Korea so far) and there are full sized towels. The location is great with public transportation and numerous restaurants and stores nearby. The front desk was very helpful in answering our questions. In addition, there is free laundry available, free umbrellas to use for rainy days and a nice rooftop terrace for relaxation. The breakfast costs 2000 won extra but it is well worth it and includes cereal, yogurt, free, toast, hard boil eggs, tea, coffee and juice. The highlight of the hotel, though, was access to a bathhouse for free. It's closed on Thursdays but is otherwise open from 5 am to 8 pm and is a great way to relax after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a centrally located, comfortable budget hotel.

GGuest UserSmall hotel with everything you need. One of the best & cleanest! Booked this place last minute and had no expectations, but boy were we surprised! We booked the deluxe as we were a family of 4: 3 singles and 1 queen. So everyone was able to sleep comfortable (& the bed were comfy). Very clean. Even the large bathroom was clean because it was through another door (near the entrance), it was quiet even when someone was using it in the middle of the night. We totally loved it and was so pleased to have found this gem. They had a very clean kitchen near the lobby that you could use and we brought our breakfast down every morning & ate there. They had free coffee/tea & filtered water system. Very convenient. Provided combs, hair ties, slippers, robes, even a reusable ”scrubbing shower towels” in their amenity pack - better than a 5star hotel! Can't stop talking about how great this little place was. And, of course, it was walking distance to the bus terminal, restaurants, bakeries, and quick access to bus 10 which took you to the temples. Just lovely! Thank you!

GGuest UserWe received warm and welcoming Korean hospitality on our short stay here. The hosts provided easy directions to find the Hanok, were waiting for us on the street on arrival and offered a run down of how we should best utilise our limited one night stay and provided us with a map and notes on what buses to use to get to the more outlying attractions (10 + 11) The Hanok is very well situated amongst the attractions we wished to see and we walked everywhere in the traditional town. Our room with two single beds was comfortable and warm (electric blanket supplied but not needed although it was a very cold night) We had an ensuite shower & toilet. Yes it’s a traditional home so the walls are thin, but all guests were respectful and kept talking to a whisper. I think like us, everyone had an early night after a full day of sightseeing. There is a kitchen available to use and a lovely traditional tea room. We had a delicious breakfast supplied on the roof deck the next morning before we set off for more sightseeing. Jung the host was kind enough to let us leave our bags there and had called a taxi for us later that day to take us to the train station. He is a well travelled man himself and knows what travellers need. Well worth your consideration when looking for a Hanok stay in this area.

GGuest UserThis is a cost-effective accommodation. First of all, it was nice because it was very close to tourist attractions. Daereungwon and Hwangridan-gil are about a 5-minute walk away, so accessibility is easy. The accommodation also opened this year and was very clean. The condition of the bedding, supplies, and breakfast were all satisfactory. I had a good rest at a very reasonable price compared to the hotel conditions.

You can take a bus directly from the high-speed rail station to the hotel. It is about ten minutes' walk from the hotel to Huanglituan Road, which is very convenient.
The breakfast is a simple buffet breakfast, with bread, milk and instant noodles.
There are only two clothes hangers in the room.
If necessary, you can bring a few with you.

DDaniel069I hate to give a bad review but this staff member was probably the worst I ever came across.
Be aware the check in is 10pm - much later than others.
The room itself was fine, very happy and wanted to extend, but the staff member insisted checking out, then coming back at 10pm, even with extension.
When I asked him, he said “it’s not my business”. Terrible attitude. He then tried to charge 20,000 cash for keeping the “free upgrade” I was given. No idea why you give with one hand and take with the other.
Had to complain and argue and even still they refused refund for second day. Took me 3 hours or messaging to get money back. Just avoid. Sadly a great place, location so so but the staff member we dealt with was the worst person I’ve met in Korea.

AAuricWe didn’t expect a lot but we received much.
We arrived, three hours after closing tiime, but the host person waited for us. He greeted us with real Korean kindness and respect. We walked in to a warm and clean room. we absolutely recommend this place and would come again.
The place is a away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the surrounding area is really beautiful. it was really lovely. We understand that some international travelers may not be able to get here easily, we came with a car so it’s great.

다다솜It's a place that's built, so the facilities are not so good, but it's clean and close to the place I went on a business trip! There were a lot of towels and it rained but it was warm! The condition of the bathroom is rotten.. There is also a table and it's good!

Uunknown3It is very convenient because it is close to the Gyeongju Expressway Sakai City Outer Bus Terminal and there are many dining rooms and convenience stores around. The city bus stop is also close to the city, and there are many buses to the city where the former Keishu station is located, so if you put the base here, you don't have to stick to staying in the city I think.

GGuest UserVery new and therefore very clean. Structure of three floors placed on a sideway compared to the guide that leads to the tumultu park where all buses stop. Very silent. So quite comfortable even if a little outside the center. I suggest that we move with taxis to reach the topical points in the city, which are still around 5000 W, to avoid unnecessary long shoes. The room is small as usual in line with the class of accommodation, but is not sleeved and provided with everything. AC, TV, Fridge, Room WiFi, phone. Very appreciable service, the availability in the common hall of coffee machines in various types and as always of ice or boiling water for tea. The hotel is located in the centre of the city centre, and is located in the centre of the city centre. Double with Queen bed at € 32 per night. Good solution a few minutes away from the bus station (taxi 5700 W). Recommended.
