GGuest UserThe hotel environment is quiet and beautiful! The room is very tidy. The hotel also has an exclusive passage leading directly to the beach. It is simply exclusive to the hotel. The scenery is beautiful and there are few people. You can make a blockbuster movie in minutes. The hotel is only 5 minutes' walk from Shuzhuang Garden and 7 minutes from Sunlight Rock. The geographical location is excellent. There are often charity concerts at Gulangyu Concert Hall in the evening. It is only more than 300 meters away from the hotel. The staff are very nice and the service is very comprehensive. There are shuttle buses to and from the pier, especially the housekeeper Xiaobai, who is enthusiastic throughout the service. We feel at home as soon as we arrive at Gulangyu. During the May Day holiday, the hotel also organized free tours, and the general manager personally led the team to explain. It is really worth staying in such a hotel👍👍👍

The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering personalized recommendations and prompt assistance whenever needed. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed with modern amenities that made my stay incredibly relaxing.
The hotel’s location is perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions. The staff also kindly gave me breakfast coupons. The breakfast was delicious and vairous. They change the menu everyday and provide the specialties of Xiamen.
Overall, my experience was nothing short of outstanding, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Xiamen. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. During our stay, we received remarkable services from the hotel staff beginning with the young Bellboy who greeted us on the day we arrived and thereafter. The front desk staff are friendly and professional; check-in was quick and easy, and especially Charis, who had patiently answered many questions that we had for Xiamen. We appreciated Lia, who helped us to get taxi by using her own phone with the local DiDi program and makes sure the taxi driver knows our destination. We also appreciated Alice from the dining room, who to cut and packed the fruits we brought from the market on the day we checked out. Last but not least was cleaned daily. We felt great when we saw a note from the housekeeper and found towels folded 🐘 on our bed one day and a swan on the next day.

GGuest UserA huge shout-out to Kitty! Her service was absolutely fantastic, and she's such a charming and delightful person. We stayed in an Executive Mountain View King Room. The bed was very spacious, and the views were expansive. One side offered city views, allowing us to intimately experience Xiamen's culture, while the other side featured mountain views, perfect for connecting with nature and unwinding. The hotel's location offers excellent transportation convenience, with both subway and bus access readily available. It's centrally located in the downtown area, very close to major attractions and transportation hubs. The hotel's decor is quite impressive and grand, and the facilities are well-appointed and comprehensive. A huge shout-out to the 5th-floor lounge area! It has board games, game consoles, and even a billiard table! If you happen to visit during peak season, you can easily pass the time here while waiting for your room, so boredom is not an option. They've truly considered everyone's sleep needs; there's a pillow menu placed right by the bed. That's incredibly thoughtful. The gym on the 15th floor isn't particularly large, but it's sufficient for basic fitness needs. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!

VVasitPleasant stay at Marco Polo Xiamen. Located in a convenient location. I booked a room with lake view and it is nice. Highly recommended to book a room with breakfast. Breakfast is awesome, very tasty with various choices(both Chinese and International). The receptionist, Ms. Alice Fu,is very nice and friendly with big smile all the time when service. Good job!!!

RRam KondaAt first, we were disappointed because they put us into a small room that we felt was not worth the price we paid for. However, the next day they upgraded our room into a nice one with a separate toilet and shower area. There were wide windows and the view was the quiet road below and two small mountains in the distance. Not bad eh! This was the time we started feeling comfortable and relaxed in our 4 nights of stay here. The bed and pillows were firm and very good to sleep in. Good for relaxing after a long day of touring or working. There was a small dining table as well as some space or area to work and put your other stuff. The toilet is fully automated so it was really comfortable to use. The staff in general were accommodating and the female receptionist manning the lobby was always enthusiastic and helpful. On the other hand, location is far from downtown so it might cost you a bit more if you take the didi often. Also, breakfast fare was sparse when we were there, probably because it was still the tourist season. Not sure though but for whatever reason, when we got to the breakfast nook at around 8am, most of the food was gone. We had to wait for about 30 min for some trays to be refilled with food while the rest simply remained empty. If you don’t like local breakfast, then this hotel’s breakfast is not for you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us.

MM226246****The hotel environment was pleasant, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a complimentary room upgrade! Breakfast was decent too. The hotel's location is excellent, being only a 10-minute walk to the ferry terminal, which made getting to Gulangyu Island very convenient.

AAnonymous UserOK hotel, it’s a bit out of the way and you can hear the planes from the airport nearby. The rooms are quite dated and musky smelling - we had to change rooms as we requested a smoke free room but the first one had a strong smoke smell. We had a free morning but the pool was being renovated that day and the spa doesn’t open until 2pm. Also requested a Mountain View room but our view was looking straight at another building. Just didn’t live up to expectations or the other reviews.
