The room was was fresh and clean. The most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long time with 4 very nice pillows. Great air conditioning, almost too cold for my taste. Bottles of water were replenished daily in the fridge. The balcony was spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean, and I had spectacular sunsets nightly. Definitely make a trip across the street to the Best Coffee and Donut House. I wasn't expecting to have such a fresh and a delicious treat. It's a hidden gem, with a YouTube video, too. The only thing that will make me not want to return to this hotel is my experience during checkout. I had to wait while the room was inspected by the manager. After being approved I stated I did not steal any towels, pillows, or lamps. Not even the complimentary soap or shampoo bottles. I was so extremely offended that I offered to open my suitcase for inspection. I had a bottle of water with me to take to the airport, but I purposely set it on the counter and said that I certainly didn't want to be accused of stealing.

The room is super beautiful, there are hills and oceans at a glance, I put the photo here . A hotel very suitable for vacation. The service staff are also very helpful,
The beach was great and should be the best I had ever had a swim in all the seas. Because the scenery was great and the water was very clean, I fell in love after swimming!
The only problem is that WIFI is not very easy to use, it has been jumped out. It makes me difficult to work, haha, maybe that is why I can rest in this hotel. But it is indeed the only fly in the ointment.
I was very impressed that Daniela was really great at the Wave restaurant, and once we went, he basically remembered what we wanted and was super attentive! This kind of staff is really unforgettable, to praise it a lot!
Anyway, I highly recommend it to everyone!

Outstanding
We enjoyed our stay here with my friends. The staff's are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommended this hotel because the hotel rooms are very clean, nice and spacious. They have also a quick service and has a great location, lovely bistro across the road so don't ya miss out this hotel.
LLISHANThe bed is super comfortable. Really like. And clean. Really good. It's just that the breakfast options are a bit small. The most important thing is the bed. I'm so comfortable. I want to ask the boss where I bought it. I really want to buy one.
GGuest UserLooking for a resort for your wife and family to hang out in the day while you are out diving then this is not the place. Go to Cove. Looking for a resort that has a poolside bar and big western bar /restaurant /lawn /buffet then go to Cove. HOWEVER, if you want a special secret place that is 1/3 the price of Cove and a great place to sleep while you use your hotel arranged $50 /day car rental then stay here! The hotel is local and smaller so it is a great place to sleep at night with good size breakfast and plenty of free breakfast coffee. It is similar to Cruise Control Diving Center, which Leo, Shell Hotel Manager, helped me find and actually drove me to. I wish I could have given him a big tip! CrCont Diving is Japanese tailored, English speaking, Japanese traveler and Western traveler place that is larger than Sams and Fish&Fins, yet not as well know outside the Japanese tourists. It is less than half the price as the others and all the dive places use the same 500 hp boats and go to German Channel, the Big Hole and Blue Corner etc. (The three biggest sites). How did I find out about it? Leo from Shell Hotel personally took me there! Getting back to Shell, it was great. I lived the clean Balinese interior. There was no mold, no bugs on the floor and modern toilet, shower and sink that are even better than my upscale home in the USA. I have not written a review of a destination hotel before. I did this because I owed travelers this inside only special gem of a place that charges so much less and isn’t on the Google searches. I wish they would put this on Google Maps or the Apple Maps that comes with the iPhone. That way more people would know about it. Yes, they rented me a car for $50 per day including insurance. They took me to Cruise Control Diving. I hadn’t heard of them before either. I did put some pictures of Shell on this review. Again, Shell is not the place you will want to hang out at all day. It is a more local hotel that is a great place to lay your head at night. It is priced lower because it is not a resort. If you want to go to Palau and need a super clean and helpful staff, oh yes, did I say 1/3 the price of a resort :) , then this is the place to stay where you won’t feel ripped off. It is like a B&B but your own and not in someone’s house. In it’s category I highly recommend it 10/10. The staff will give you all the inside knowledge of Palau and take you to locals priced places. Thank you Leo!
We stayed at this hotel 5 days before our dive tour. They have a wonderful little beach and we enjoyed snorkeling there everyday. Surprisingly there were many baby fish, large clams, a wreck ,sea turtles and even a sea snake. The rooms are large and the staff is wonderful. The breakfast is very limited and we ate out for lunch and dinner. There are a couple really good restaurants nearby as well as convenient stores. I highly recommend staying here as an affordable option before your tours. Also a great place to snorkel!
YYINGIt is still okay. In the city center, there are two large supermarkets next to it, countless restaurants, post offices, and shops, which are very convenient. Breakfast is not as diverse as the star hotels, but it is acceptable. There is free wifi and drinks in the lobby. The staff is very welcoming. Towels can be borrowed when going to the sea. You can walk from the surrounding attractions, go swimming in the park for about 40 minutes, the scenery is good, not too tired. In short, it can be considered.
Ttraveltalesofales Given the hefty price tag we paid for a stay at this place, we expected at least a 3 or 4-star treatment if not a luxury 5-star stay. But what we were treated to was the exact opposite. Our stay felt worse than what we might expect from a super-budget motel! Most of the things in the resort were shut down and not even available for us as kept hearing the reason ‘Recovering from Covid’ throughout! IF that was the reason, then a semi-functional hotel should not be charging full price and such a high rate!!! Though the place is so tiring and basic, the reason I have still rated this with 2 stars is the wonderful staff and the fantastic waterfront location. Everything else is disappointing. - There are no Food and Beverage outlets on site, and we couldn't even get dinner in such a captive place and were forced to order from outside! And so many places were not even open or delivering here! - The breakfast was a super lame affair (didnt even qualify to be labeled as ‘breakfast’) and didnt even stay open beyond 9 am, serving stale weak coffee!! - The internet connectivity was a disaster! And it was not related to the Island’s isolated location. I was able to get high-speed connections in random budget bars on the island that are so much faster than a supposedly high-quality hotel! Not something you expect from a place like this. -There is not enough staff to help and the place is more like a FAMILY RUN mom-and-pop shop! -Finally given its ********* family owners and staff the place felt more like a ********* resort with only staff from the nation who couldn't speak in English and even the equipment in the room were all in Chinese!! Super frustrating. LOCATION: Great location on the waterfront and near downtown DINE + DRINK: No Bar or Restaurant on site. It felt like a graveyard throughout our stay with all lights off and nothing open! ROOM: We stayed in Room 203, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the waterfront and the swimming pool; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Decent cosmetics, but better to bring your own! FACILITIES: No Gym on site. Lovely pool with a nice view. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to RONNIE and Meghan along with Alexie. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Disaster of a WiFi!!. A Random model of TV that didnt even work and had no satellite connection! More of a prop in the room
I had a really good experience at DW motel as it was my first time in Palau for work. It was clean, the staff were helpful and the WiFi was good. The bed was also comfy especially after travelling for more than 56 hours. DW motel was better than some hotels and very good value for money. There is a kitchen available for all hotel guests to use as well as laundry and drier. There was also free filtered water available. They also have airport services if needed. Highly recommend this motel to anyone and would stay again for my next visit to Palau.
PPeter HStay there for 5 nights during my diving tour in Palau. Choose the hotel because it was close to the dive center I used. Location in general is not so exciting as close to the Oiltanks at the harbor. But also beside the Red Rooster brewery ( Beer is quite good and there have different tastes) However room was large and clean. Furniture and interior is quit old (guess from the 80th) but in general ok. So can recommend the hotel if y need it for sleep only. Breakfast beside the hotel in a bistro-supose belong to the hotel. The only mistake I made was that I book it via Booking.com which charged me a 3times higher price than the price offered by the hotel. So.pls. take care.
