📍 6509 Chinto, Hagi
★★★★ 9.1 (56 reviews)

"A two-day hot spring hotel stay on 4/20-22 ~ Hagi Komachi, Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Sunset View Inn. Each room has an unbeatable sea view, and there are many lounge areas in the public area where you can sit and drink coffee and tea. There are also massage chairs, smoking rooms, movies, switches, and billiards. There are two hot spring pools, one open-air and one rocky. The dinner was also good, but the room did not have a bathroom, but there was a toilet! However, if you don't dare to go to the big bath, you can pay to go to the private bath. The sunset is beautiful!"

"The hot spring pool in Hagimotojin is interestingly designed. It is fun to soak in a circle of indoor, outdoor and semi-open air. After arriving at Tohagi Station, you can first store your luggage at the station desk. Please ask the staff to contact the hotel to take the luggage to the hotel. After you return from sightseeing, contact the hotel car to pick you up at the station (3:00 to 6:00 pm). The hotel has a car that allows you to go to the observation deck on the top of the mountain (880 yen). It feels good to soak your feet in front of the sunset over the Sea of Japan."

"First of all, when I checked in, the two guys at the counter could have been a bit friendlier... They might say this is normal, but the hotel front desk is the representative of the hotel (the face of the hotel)... normal isn't good enough... a straight face isn't good enough! In the customer service industry, a smile is the basis, even if it's fake! It was a disappointing feeling as soon as I arrived... Make sure you smile and laugh! Also, the lighting in the guest rooms is too dim... When I put on makeup in the morning, the light above the sink is too far from the mirror, and it gets even dimmer when I get closer to it... I'm not saying they should install a light for actresses (lol), but I wonder if they could make it a little brighter... Also, the trash can is too small. Also, regarding the souvenir shop's opening hours, if the check-out time is 10:00, shouldn't the shop's opening hours be 10:30 instead of 10:00? Even if I want to buy something on my way out, if it's displayed like that, I'll assume it's closed and I can't buy it... I'll just give up and buy it somewhere else... I think that would change sales... Also, regarding the drink vending machine in front of it, apparently they gave me milk even though I bought a cafe au lait in a carton... When I told them about it, they apologized, but then they seemed to be asking what I should do, so I just said "it's okay" and left it at that. But isn't it the customer service industry to act quickly and say, "We'll give you the real thing, so please wait a moment.""

Resort Hotel Mihagi ★★★
"The hotel was lovely, clean, spacious and had a great view from our ocean-facing room. It was within walking distance of Hagi castle town so the location was great. I didn't book a room with meals included in the evening so the front desk staff were very kind and introduced me to lots of delicious restaurants. The bath was also spacious and clean. I took a bath in the open-air bath early in the morning so it was a little cold, but it felt really good. I was surprised at how much breakfast there was, so I couldn't finish it. It was delicious and I was very satisfied, and I'd like to visit this inn again. Thank you for your hospitality."

"Regarding the location, it's only a 10-minute drive to the tourist spots in Hagi, and the inn also has free bicycle rentals, so it's very convenient. Regarding the service, we were satisfied with the hospitality of a typical inn. We went with an infant, but the floor of the restaurant was tatami, so we had to sit on the tatami during the meal. We also asked for hot water to prepare milk, and they kindly accommodated. The dinner was very plentiful, and the quality of the food tasted like it was mass-cooked, but we enjoyed a lot of fugu dishes. The fugu sashimi was especially delicious. We were generally satisfied, but if we had to point out two issues, the power of the hair dryer was very weak, so if you have long hair, it would be better to bring one. Another point is that the passage to the restaurant is not barrier-free, and there are stairs to go up and down."
