Novi Hotel Haikou is a good value for an overnight airport layover stay. The roundtrip free airport shuttle is the highlight feature, as it is only about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the hallway carpet is worn and stained and the "non-smoking" room smells of smoke and comes with an ashtray! \*•*/!

The soundproofing in the room was really poor. Also, I was quite concerned about the bedsheets and duvet covers – I'm not sure how often they're changed. After just one night, I woke up with my whole body covered in dust mite bites.

Not bad at all! There's a night market with lots of food stalls right at the end of the road from the entrance. The room offers great value for money, and it comes with a XiaoDu smart assistant throughout. Plus, they offer free airport pickup and drop-off, which is amazing for the price!

The owner specially drove over to pick me up at 2 AM. The service was thoughtful, and he even helped with my luggage when getting in and out of the car. I also stored my luggage with him. I'll definitely stay there again when I return.
