JI Hotel (Haikou Hainandaxue Haidian Island)

This place is great. Very clean and everything is new and hi-tech. A robot brings your orders to you right to your room door. Smart toilet seat (warmed-up at all times). Motion detector-activated night lights. Smart mirror. I twisted an ankle playing polo on the 2nd day of my Haikou stay. And, instead of having a nice tropical vacation, had to spend almost 3 weeks in bed in my hotel room, barely able to walk. The hotel staff went out of their way to help me cope with the injury. They were giving me Hainan specialty foods, like coconut candy and coconut chips for free. Special thanks to 1) the Front Desk staff. All of them. 2) the 7th Floor cleaning ladies. They cleaned my room daily, while I actually had to sit in the room, as I had a hard time walking. They showed simpathy and understanding and were wishing me speedy recovery every day. On the check-out day I had an early morning flight to catch, so I checked out at 4am. The front desk girl gave me for free a pack of milk, a packed cookie and a pack of nuts so I could have a quick breakfast. I didn't even ask for that, so thanks.
