I booked a room with Ctrip. I thought it was an old hotel after reading the reviews, but I was surprised when I came in. The room environment is very good, the facilities are not old, it is quiet, it is close to the duty-free shop, and it feels very safe next to the provincial government. You can find this hotel tucked away amongst residential apartments, convenience stores and local eateries (which are opened until late). Malls and western restaurants is a short ride away (+-5kms) via DiDi. The room is outrageously big, clean and pretty modern. The shower is powerful, effective and extremely hot - my room highlight. The customer service was superb and they accommodated my change in travel plans towards the end of my stay. I would recommend this hotel if you want to live amongst the local people, looking for something affordable and wanting a spacious room.

Stayed here for a night. It was a pleasant stay. Hotel gave off a dated vibe which I enjoyed. Staff was courteous. Amenities were sufficient. There was also a small public hot spring facility just outside the hotel and a tub you can fill with hot spring water in hotel room. Different varieties of food served during breakfast. Location is convenient to go to qilou old street. We took a cab.
