Lovely place - meets the expectations we had from the pictures we saw online. The garden areas were really beautiful and obviously a labor of love. A nice feature of the rooms are the smart tvs in each to watch Netflix, YouTube , Prime etc. And the hottest showers we had in the country ! The pool was clean and surprisingly refreshing given the extraordinary heat when we were there. Food was nice - freshly prepared and the owner is very helpful and speaks good English - he booked us a private tour of Lan Ha Bay that was a highlight of our trip- just the two of us on a small boat with a lunch prepared onboard - some of the best food we had in all of the 3 weeks we spent in Vietnam ! I highly recommend doing this tour !

Wonderful home stay, great location, peaceful setting. Dat, the manager, and his staff are friendly, helpful, and fun. Met many families, couples and several solo travelers. Dat is always helping people with local knowledge, tours, travel, and guidance for things to do on Cat Ba Island. The location is about 20-25 minutes by motorbike, 12km), from Cat Ba town. Scenic road to travel on. Close to national park, caves, etc. The lodge is surrounded by mountains and a number of small farms near the road which leads to the reservoir - great for morning or afternoon walks. So….if you like nature and nice people this is the place for you.

The hostel staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful, also the owner (I think) who I was texting with. I had dinner there which was amazing. They also refilled my water bottle instead of giving me a new one which is just more plastic. But please also no straws. The rooms unfortunately are not nice. The walls are dirty and the mattress is so hard. I even got one of the best rooms but still. For the price you pay compared to other places, also being next to the street and not really a nice view, I think it’s too much money for what you get.

Website trip and motel coordinate poorly 1 , washing does not dry clothes, so waiting for a long time is minus when you want to go to the morning bath or take a boat in the morning, accommodation is far away, so consider taking a motorbike or car (no electric car) , pay attention when you want to use the service j should ask about the price (avoid the owner is comfortable until the time of payment is unexpected), note: should actively request the requirements, bed linens, there are mosquitoes at night, should pay attention, pay attention to the sign on the safety wheel (sometimes there is a police when passing the ring standing there).
