Tung Quang Hotel

A very good stay and great value. They were very helpful and organised us to hire a bike and to have our clothes cleaned. Walking distance from lots of places to eat and drink.

At the reception we will not find anyone speak English , lady doesn’t help and was quite rude .we asked just how reach the beach and the answer was walk it’s 1 km .. it’s 2 km and there are electric car picked up you and bring to the beach for just 10.000 Dong . We pay for a room for 4 people and we found 2 towels we have asked for the other 2 . We pay for a room with breakfast proving that on the reservation and the answer was “ sorry we didn’t serve breakfast on this season “ totally unprofessional if you can stay away from here

Very disappointing stay at Tung Quang Hotel in Cat Ba. There was no hot water during our stay. We booked and paid for a room with breakfast included, and we have the reservation confirmation proving this, yet upon arrival we were informed that the hotel does not serve breakfast at this time of year. The staff were extremely rude and appeared to treat local guests much better than foreign visitors. We even noticed that the fan in the waiting area was turned off when local guests left. The room was poorly equipped: no kettle, no instant coffee, barely any toilet paper, no hand towels, and no blanket in the wardrobe. The shower gel and shampoo were not properly labelled and were only identified in Vietnamese. The air conditioning was faulty, either blowing very cold air or not working at all regardless of the selected temperature. We were given only one room key card for two people, and the card was already damaged. Bath towels were not properly replaced during housekeeping, with only one towel being changed for no apparent reason. Overall, a very poor experience and certainly not good value for money.

This hotel have ideal location with lake view which we really liked. For the cleanliness, when we checked in the room was a bit dusty. They do have room cleaning on request. Also the quality of toothbrush and tooth paste I personally did not like. All the basic things like towels, water, water heater, AC, shampoo and everything was provided. Breakfast was included in the price which is 140hkd per day. Overall this is a very good deal
