Cat Ba SOL Beach

A fantastic place to stay for visiting Ha Long Bay. The pool is a major plus, as is the nearby beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our gin and tonics by the pool. I recommend it without any hesitation!

The room is spacious, with two comfortable beds and a large bathroom. Scooter rental is also very easy and convenient, which is a real plus for exploring the surroundings (especially since the hotel is located 15 minutes from the city center). Breakfast is decent and a good way to start the day. However, several areas need improvement, particularly regarding cleanliness. I found many small insects and other critters in the room, as well as stains on the sheets. There's also no "Do Not Disturb" sign to prevent staff from entering the room. Finally, the pool could also use more maintenance, as it wasn't very clean during my stay. Overall, the hotel has good assets, especially the spacious room and easy scooter rental, but a real effort on cleanliness and maintenance would be necessary to make the stay more enjoyable.

The cheapest but most comfortable bunk bed room has an outdoor pool, billiards table, drums, and food.

The hotel is too far from the city center. The hotel is dirty, the swimming pool is dirty, and the beach is dirty.

Although I was stuck in Hurricane Rania and could only get to the city for two days, for a total of four hours each time, the first day and two hours on the second day were filled with heavy rain. The location and service were excellent, but you can't swim in the river—I mean, the beach—because it's so silty it's brown, like it's covered in mud. The hotel is worth 70 to 80 riyals. I paid 130, but I wouldn't have written this review if it weren't for the respectful staff. It's a good review; they're the ones who made the place special, and the smiles, friendship, and camaraderie were wonderful.

The hotel is lovely, the pool and restaurant are good. We had a sea view. However, it's best to have a car to get around.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, the pool is well laid out and very pleasant. The sea view is breathtaking, but you have to cross the road to enjoy it (swimming is prohibited). The staff is very helpful. We had a very pleasant stay.
