This is a homestay-style hotel and overall, I think it’s great value for money. The hosts are very warm and helpful. They even prepared a home-cooked breakfast and cut fruits for guests, and their fish soup was really tasty. The place seems quite new, so everything was clean and well maintained.
The location is within walking distance of the main town area, although personally I found it a little far to walk. With a rented bike, it’s actually quite close. They provide bike rentals for guests at 150,000 VND for 24 hours. The bikes are not the newest, but the rental process was very fuss-free, both for collecting and returning the bike, (but over here you need a motorbike driving licence)
If you’re venturing out at night, just take note that the streets around the area can be quite dark.
I actually decided to shorten my stay as I wanted to explore Hải Phòng city instead of spending more time on the island. The female host was very helpful and efficient in arranging everything for me. She even helped me get onto a bus and speedboat 🚤, and I managed to return to the city earlier than expected.
Downside is the surrounding is really quiet. If you don't intend to rent a bike it might be a long walk.
Overall, a really pleasant stay, especially if you appreciate friendly hosts and a more homely atmosphere. Recommended for those who wants a laidback holiday homestay!
