Nice view and quiet place. my husband amazed the beautiful mountain and lake view!.

The hotel room is spacious, and on a clear day, you can see the snow-capped Mount Fuji directly from the seaside garden – it's absolutely stunning! This foldable makeup mirror is super cool! If you get a front-facing lake view room, you can literally lie down and enjoy the entire panorama from your room! The hotel is right next to the pirate ship pier and the H bus terminal! It's also really convenient to get to Gotemba Outlet; just transfer from the H line to the M line. For returning to Hakone-Yumoto Station, you can ride the bus all the way to the end, and there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!

This hotel has a long history and is beautifully decorated with great style. The surroundings are lovely, making it a perfect spot for sightseeing and unwinding. A special shoutout to the ********* lady at the front desk; her service was incredibly detailed and attentive. She went above and beyond to help us when our downhill transportation was unexpectedly delayed.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect view of the lake and right next to public transportation options. The deluxe lake view room was huge and very clean. The public onsen is small with just two pools, one onsen had an open view to the sky. Note that they have no gyms available. The breakfast was great, a small main hot entree and unlimited sides, such as breads, salads, fruits, and drinks. The only downside is the lack of AC during the winter. It was very hot and we had to open the window to cool it down.

Waking up to this view early in the morning is truly therapeutic.

This is a century-old hotel, so the room facilities are a bit dated. However, the service level and overall experience definitely give off an 'old money' vibe. The location is excellent, with a bus stop right outside and close proximity to the pirate ship port. My favorite part was waking up and pulling back the curtains to see the white peak of Mount Fuji.

Right by the pirate ship dock, the views are great, though there are quite a few stairs to navigate. However, the hotel facilities are excellent, especially the lounge. It has plenty of seating, hot and cold drinks, board games, and nice views. The hotel lawn even has tripods set up, which is a thoughtful touch. The only downside is that there aren't any recommended restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Hakone Hotel is a historic piece of Hakone and has maintained its elegance over the decades. It has spacious rooms with comfortable beds and if lucky, great views of the lake and Mt. Fuji. The onsen are a nice touch, and included for guests with minimal charge, 150 yen per da, and seems to be compulsory. The breakfast is simple, with an order main dish, and buffet for the additional options. The French toast is amazing. The staff is extremely helpful and speaks English relatively well. The hotel offers free welcome drinks and free soft drinks, coffee, milk tea, cocoa, and more throughout the day. The location is perfect for getting on the lake cruise, which takes you to the shrine in 5 minutes, the cable car in 25 minutes, which goes onward to the steam vents. There are limited restaurants nearby the hotel, but there's an excellent Indian place right next door, a Japanese food truck that makes great grilled chicken yakotori, wagyu beef, and a Mediterranean that i didn't have an opportunity to try. This is an excellent hotel and somewhere I'd stay again. It does take about 40 minutes by bus from the train station, but worth the effort.

Beautiful hotel with a really large, clean and comfortable room. Appreciated the complimentary drinks in the room, and at the foyer (in the morning) and bar (during happy hour). Lovely view of Mt Fuji across the lake as well, worth every penny. Unfortunately Mt Fuji was covered by clouds for most of our trip, but the only time we were able to see it mostly in full was at the hotel. Onsen experience was also great; while it was a public onsen, other guests did not really use it, which was a real shame as there was a jacuzzi and outdoor onsen inside. Only downside was the central air conditioning which made the room feel a bit too warm after coming back from the onsen, but otherwise still a comfortable stay.

Paid for an expensive lake view room but they gave us one which is the worst one. Furthermore the aircon was not working and it was stifling in the room. We were told that it is central heating and nothing can be done about it. They allow us to open the window to get some fresh air. Paying over S$400/night is really not worth it. Location is next to the excursion boat jetty and some eateries.

Amazing view from the rooms and the hotel overall. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax and get the view of Mount Fuji. Great service!! The only difficulty we had was reaching the hotel as the transportation isn’t very often and the only mode of transportation is bus. Overall very happy with the hotel

The hot spring area isn't huge, but it's very comfortable. The hotel's teppanyaki is delicious, and we got a discount voucher during check-in, making it quite affordable. Breakfast was a bit average; however, if you don't want to eat at a convenience store, it's probably better to book it. The view from the window was great, but it was pitch black at night. Overall, a very good experience.

The hotel's location is great, and the service was excellent. They clearly explained all the check-in procedures. However, there was no Chinese-speaking staff available at the time, which might have just been bad timing.

The room is big enough and we definitely had a pleasant stay with the comfort beds. This is biggest room we have ever booked in all our Japan trips . The breakfast spread not so much, but we found their Japanese rice with soup is so yum! the location is really not great if you doesn’t have transportation with you.
