Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel

We stayed two nights in this onsen hotel. It was a fantastic experience. We drove down to the hotel. It’s not difficult to find the hotel if you follow the GPS, despite its a bit far from other crowded area. Dinner and breakfast were superb. Sake was nice as well. Male and female onsen won’t swap as I guess the onsen is literally the same. Everything is nicely maintained in the hotel. It’s a fantastic getaway. The hotel is next to golf course so the view of the hotel rooms are the green. As a golfer I prefer natural view rather than trimmed golf course but anyway it’s very refreshing to see the view when blinders off. Once again, it’s a very nice onsen hotel and I would definitely visit again in the future.

Lake Ashi
Be sure to choose the invincible lake view room in the East or West Building! The hotel is designed by a famous artist, including Togo Murano's work in 1978. The famous red swan chair and the sofa in the guest room are full of contemporary feel. The hot springs are fully equipped. Don't worry about the bumpy journey. The hot springs and delicious food immediately take away the fatigue of the day. The only drawback is that the gap between old and new services brings completely different feelings. Language communication is a common problem when traveling in Japan, but the hotel's training for new employees urgently needs to be strengthened.
Hakone Sengokuhara Prince Hotel

Gora/Sengokuhara
I visited for free. Although there are some negative points due to the old facilities, it is a price range that is easy to visit when you want to come to the hot springs, and the quality of the hot springs is not bad, so it is a new and fashionable facility, to stay without seeking gorgeousness. I thought I was there. Personally, according to the hotel rules, you can go back and forth in the bath with sandals in the room, so I think sandals have dirt on the shoes on the outside, but there are no other footwear in the room. I was worried about the aging of the washroom and the bus, because the boundary between the foot and the non-smoking area seemed vague, including the cleaning staff.

Lake Ashi
Ryokan with beautiful view of Lake Ashi, great onsen. Staff are very helpful and polite. They help us set up futon on the first day. We can see Fuji-san from our room. Location is quite disconnected so make sure you get dinner outside before you come or book hotel dinner. Pet zoo and bus stop is right outside but the bus only runs till 5pm or so.
