Bräugasthof Hallstatt

We had a fabulous stay here. When we had train nightmares arriving, the staff were so helpful in telling us how we could arrive and providing the number for a taxi. The hotel itself is old and quaint and beautiful. It’s right on the water, so the views from the balcony were unreal. It was so nice to be able to sit on the balcony and not see any tourists below but get to fully enjoy the lake and mountains. Finally, the breakfast was amazing! Fresh food, fresh coffee, we looked forward to it each morning. On our last morning when we had to leave before breakfast, the staff made us some sandwiches to go! Everyone was so nice and accommodating, and we loved the vibe of such an old building.

Very good view and authentic rooms, in the heart of Hallstatt. Friendly staff. One improvement would be mini fridges in the rooms.

The position of the hotel was amazing, right above the lake. The we had extraordinary view, for the lake of Hallstatt and the surrounding mountains. The staff of the hotel was very kind and helpful to our needs, helped us with the bus transfer to the parking area.

Good location . But the facility is old and not so comfortable . Unique and special as it is 700 years old . Good view of the lake from our unit . Breakfast was a bit disappointing. How er staff were friendly and warmth . Toilet is not so ideal as it is small and cramped .
