Crowne Plaza HAMBURG - CITY ALSTER by IHG

The Crowne Plaza in Hamburg is much less luxurious compared to what we were used from Crowne Plaza's hotels in Asia. It is a bit far off to the main attractions. The room was basically furnished with two comfortable single beds of 90 cms. There was no chair to relax, just a small office space with a simple chair. The room #306 in which we stayed was clean and limited in space but not reflecting the usual comfortable size of a hotel with this brand name.. The bathroom is of small size equipped with a bathtub but no shower stall. The ventilation was insufficient. There were no amenities or slippers provided, just toiletries from refillable bottles that are fixed to the wall. . The hotel accepts pets. We were firstly given a room that had a strong smell. After complaining we were given another room. The hotel should be more careful by attributing rooms, probably reserve a floor to welcome guests with a pet. The breakfast is complete, but there was too much waiting time at the egg station. Parking at the hotel is prohibitive expensive at 29.-€ per night. Street parking around the hotel is reserved for residents.

Overall very well stay. Location not near to Subway but close to Bus stop

Service was very good! Breakfast a bit crowded! Rest was good!

Really great hotel. Newly upgraded, lovely bar and restaurant. Room was gorgeous and very spacious, extremely clean and really quiet and relaxing. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Hello, As a feedback from my stay at your hotel for four nights. I have nothing else than very positive feedback to give to this hotel. I had a very comfortable stay in there, everything was functioning very well and all the hotel staff with whom I interacted, were professionals and had a very positive and client-oriented frame of mind with them. Nothing but an excellent stay at your hotel and - of course - in Hamburg which really is a wonderful city. I have to visit Hamburg anothe r time. best regards, Timo Karhunen Helsinki, Finnland

Staff is polite, room and hotel are clean. Rooms were cleaned with fresh towels, beds made and tea and instant coffee replenished. Did not make use of gym, sauna or food, but these are all available.

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, the elegant and professional atmosphere was noticeable. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic view. The location is also ideal for both enjoying the beautiful Alster lake and accessing the city center. It’s the attentive service and premium amenities that set this hotel apart. I felt thoroughly pampered and would not hesitate to return for another luxurious stay.

Please invest in some better irons as the current ones don’t do the job properly.
