Hotel Hamburg Stadtzentrum

Stayed here for four nights with family. The main advantage is just few minutes walk away from central station. As others mentioned, the street outside of hotel has issues particularly at night for reasons mentioned in many reviews. I did have any issues at all. Rooms are clean, comfortable. However, the hotel has old days configuration. There is a small lift. No room card, only one key provided. No scope of climate control(hot/cold). Buffet breakfast is just right but same everyday. Late check out not possible but good facilities for free luggage storage.

I chose the hotel because of its cheap price, close location to Hamburg Hbf and free breakfast. As others mentioned, the location is shady and feels unsafe. But I only stayed here one night - arrived in the evening and left early morning in the day after. The room is small and clean, just sufficient for a short stay. I had a good sleep and the breakfast was a good deal too. My Economy room was located on the 5th floor, and the elevator stops at 4th, so be ready if you have big luggages.

I was more than happy with my stay. The location is “interesting” but I didn’t feel at all uncomfortable even late at night. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was fine and surprisingly quiet. The train and bus station’s are a 2 minute walk so excellent for the airport and onward travel. Breakfast was good and started at 6-30. Checkout is at 12 noon so good for a Late start if you’re not in a hurry. I plan to return to this hotel next month.

The Hotel itself is good value for money, breakfast is perfectly adequate but not very exciting. The location is both good and bad. The good: Very near the main train station with access to U Bahn and S Bahn The bad: Located over a ******** with a lot of dodgy people hanging around the area We were a group of lads so no problem, may not suit solo travellers
