UPDATE MAY 15 2025 The prices have gotten even worse this summer. Now for two nights of tent camping, its 221.87 if you want to reserve your site and actually make sure you get it. You can risk not getting the site you chose for $40.00 less. Yep they charge you $40.00 to keep the site you reserved. I was planning on maybe taking my child in OCT, keep in mind the pool and waterslides will be closed so I was planning on getting a golf cart for just Saturday to keep us busy. Now the total for 2 nights of sleeping in a tent with a site of your choosing and a golf cart for one night. DRUM ROLLLLLLL BRBRBRBRBBRRBRBRB $291.87!!!!.... we can literally stay in a lake front hotel near navy pier right on the lake in Chicago for that price. Sun and Fun outdoors has ruined this place, I wish Holiday World would have bought it, they would have kept prices within reason and not made it look like a retirement community. Pathetic to charge someone that much to sleep on the ground.

Our family has been coming to Camp Rudolph for the Halloween festives for close to ten years. This was the first year that there was a threat of severe weather. In order to prepare and help keep our family safe, we all have small children (we all live in different parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana) we started calling Suns Out Door Thursday early to see if there was a plan for severe weather. After all, who wants to lose $3000 or even be exposed to severe hurricane weather. NOT one call was answered on September 26 at any time during working business hours. When the phone line to the camp ground was not answered, we called the main Sun Resort’s number many times only to be insulted. I was told someone from the camp ground would call me. That never happened. We were given the insulting run around. Your company failed majorly. Majorly. All you had to do was put out a blanket statement to allow guests to rest easy concerning their reservations. I called other major camp grounds and discovered in the event of severe weather, what the protocols were followed. Suns Outdoor should have been the one relaying this message. I work for a large-scale camper/RV company in the sales department and I promise you I will ensure that all my customers are aware of your poor customer service. I will mention the lack of cleanliness in the cabins, the black mold that is growing around the vents, the fleas in the bedding and bath tub, and how unorganized and untrained your company is in events such a severe weather. After you have shown the lack of training your employees hold with the threat of weather, imagine how unsafe and unorganized your company would be if severe weather hit. I hope you use this as learning experience. Train your employees. As for our family, you owe us a huge apology and we are expecting it. Unfortunately, I not sure if you will ever win our business back.

We are a family of 8, and these cabins (we were in 527) have the potential to be great. The positives: --close to Holiday World --accommodates large families --nice deck size The negatives: --no towels or top sheets --crummy sheets don't stay on the mattresses --no air conditioning in the bedroom (or at least zero airflow that pushes cold air in --simple maintenence not done (missing remote batteries, light bulbs, etc.) --long term maintenance ignored (see pictures) --kitchen inadequately stocked (not enough silverware for the number of people allowed, no cookie sheet) --tiny grill for the number of allowed occupants --horrible, steep driveway that washes out in hard rain (which has also washed out the ground leading up to the bottom step of the deck) --not very clean --trickle shower water pressure in a very, very low shower We stayed here about 5 years ago and loved it. It was clean and well maintained. It was also so much cheaper. The rate increase is more than just inflation. A Motel 6 would be nicer.

Every year they raise the price. They find the dumbest reasons to do so. $50.00 a night to tent camp, So 100.00 for the weekend. Now here is where it gets fun. They charge you an extra 30.00 for a "resort fee" I'm sleeping on the ground smh, AND THEN once you pick your campsite they want an extra 40.00 to guarantee that site. LMAO WHAT!?? Some of these tent sites are on a hill ECT terrible. Before sun and fun outdoors bought this place it was AMAZING... I refuse to fall in line and spend that sort of money to tent camp. INSANE

I have tried to contact corporate and been ignored.. We stayed at the Rudolph campsite in Santa Claus Indiana like I stated before we would like a refund for one night and one night of the golf cart as we wound up leaving. the toilet seat was cracked, which pinched me and one of my Children left marks, there were also mouse droppings in the drawer where the silverware was and stains on the sheets. I have pictures of all this and since nobody has contacting us, I will give it until Monday morning and then I will have my attorney contact them with all the pictures since they don’t want to do anything about this and then I will also be posting with the Better Business Bureau and attaching all the pictures.

I have always loved Lake Rudolph, but wow the prices are ridiculous. I am not sure why they need to charge what they do for any of the sites. It's a nice campground but they have gone crazy with the increases over the years. The golf carts are fine, but people drive crazy. That being said, we have had good memories there.

We definitely will not be back to this place. Their cabin prices make it seem like they think they’re at the Disney level and they certainly are not. I was disgusted by the cabin. I felt like everything just seemed dirty in the kitchen. There were no kitchen towels or bath towels in the entire place. No dishwasher, so that means no one probably actually washes the dishes. I read on the website to bring our own sheets and bedding, but I must’ve overlooked that there were no towels. We had to go to the local Dollar General to buy some towels. The floor seemed very dirty. It made me cringe to walk on it with anything but my shoes on. The patio was very dingy and grimy and there was mold on the grill utensils. I was afraid to touch the grill or sit on the patio. It needed power washed. It was a shame that a large patio was part of our price but we were unable to use it. We had a cabin with the loft and the ceiling in the loft was ridiculously low. The golf carts driving around everywhere were annoying and dangerous. We even came up on golf carts that were driven by children. I’m surprised somebody has not gotten seriously hurt from a collision between a golf cart and a vehicle. We ended up checking out a night early and just went home. I was just so ready to get out of there.

Terrible campground. Everyone drives around on golfcarts at basically run you over or off the road if you are in a vehicle. The roads are really only wide enough for one vehicle but none of them are marked as one-way only. The prices are ridiculous and NONE of the amenities are included. Swimming? Not included. Golf-cart? Not included. Mini-golf? Nope. Quiet hours dont start until 11PM! So as you try and get your children to sleep at a reasonable hour like 9pm you can listen to golf-carts honking (at the 9pm parade!) or people blaring their music for another 2 hours! People leave trash everywhere. Tons of teenagers that seem to be employed there but, don't actually seem to do anything or have any answers to questions. Not worth the money and the headaches of that place.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Lake Rudolph. We were there June 18, 19 & 20, 2024. I was expecting the worst, as far as cleanliness, from all of the negative reviews I had read from 2023. I took all kinds of cleaning supplies, bug sprays, rags, a mop... Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness. It was not immaculate, but it is a cabin in a campground. The sinks, tub, sheets, floors, deck, refrigerator, dishwasher & bathroom were all clean. The couch was in good condition & the mattresses were all very comfortable. We had an issue with one bug, probably a cockroach, but we have also stayed in 4 star hotels in Florida & found cockroaches. We were in a "Christmas Cabin" on Angel Way, # 387D. We locked in our cabin & also rented a 6 seat golfcart. I do agree that the prices are high. It was close to $450.00 per night. The grandkids had a great time. There are many activities available to keep them busy & so close to Holiday World. Overall a great time, but pricey.
