I cancelled another hotel and booked this hotel the night before I stayed. I stayed in Hampton by Hilton in Kunming before and was sure it wouldn’t disappoint. However, contrary to what I read from the reviews, the hotel wasn’t as near to the metro as I thought. There was only one decent shopping mall Gda within walking distance. When I first entered the hotel room, I was greeted by a weird smell. Initially I couldn’t make out whether it was my socks that smelled or it was the room as I was sweating due to the extreme temperature in Hangzhou. As I went in and out a few more times, I was sure it was the carpet that had the stinky smell but after a while, my nose sort of got accustomed to the smell and felt nothing. As it was my last night in Hangzhou and I wouldn’t be in the room all the time, I didn’t make a fuss. Another point to note is: cars were not allowed to park in front of the hotel and if you were to book didi, you have to go to the bank beside the hotel to be picked up. I booked didi a few times and the car would usually stop by the roadside near the bank and one would have to react very fast, especially when you have a lot of luggage.

We had a comfortable and pleasant stay for 2 nights here. The location of the hotel is close to Hefang Ancient Street and West Lake. Very near to a metro station too. The bed is very comfortable and we had Xiao Du in the room to help us turn on/off the tv snd lights. Liu Shen is very helpful, polite and efficient in our check-in and check-out. He helped us booked a car to Wuzhen and negotiated the fare on our behalf which we really appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hangzhou.

The hotel very near a metro station, just in front of the hotel, there is a convenience store down stairs as well. The hotel well equipped with AI, Xiao du, we can just control the air-con temperature by our voice commands. Not to mention the room shoes are very comfy!

The rooms are located on floors 11-13, while the 14th floor houses the front desk, gym, a convenience store, and the restaurant. Room amenities were decent, but the rooms aren't particularly spacious. The mattress is reportedly quite famous, though I personally found it to be relatively soft. Breakfast is available; the dining area isn't very large, but the variety of options is quite extensive. Overall, the service attitude was good, though perhaps due to limited staff, it sometimes took a while to get things delivered. A significant plus, especially given the weather, was the ample supply of complimentary bottled water.
