Scholars Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake Wulin Square Zhejiang University)

This hotel has a lot of character and style, with elements of traditional Chinese culture like a zither, chess, calligraphy, and painting. However, the guzheng (Chinese zither) seemed old, and its tuning was off. There was a calligraphy brush in the room but no ink or paper. The room facilities also had a very cultural atmosphere, and the service attitude was excellent. In the lobby lounge area, they offered mung bean soup, millet porridge, and tea eggs, which were all great for a late-night snack. The breakfast was also very rich and delicious, and you could even take coffee to go, though I didn't get any.

The room is comfortable and has a great atmosphere, with a lovely literary and floral scent. There's parking available, and the service is excellent. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is decent. However, one room had a moldy wood smell. I only noticed it after sleeping there for a night, and my nose was irritated the whole time. Also, there should have been a fridge, but there wasn't one.

The hotel has unique features like incense, a good book collection, and calligraphy art. My stay was very pleasant, the environment is beautiful, and the location is convenient. Breakfast was good. The front desk staff were highly professional, and their responses were efficient and helpful. The room facilities were excellent.

The room has a charming, antique feel with a distinctive incense aroma, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. There's even a calligraphy experience available in the room. The mattress is very comfortable, and everything is clean and hygienic, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was incredibly varied, and the pastries were particularly delicious. I also want to thank the hotel staff for providing me with an extra complimentary breakfast.

Excellent stay! The room was great, you could even write on the walls! The hotel breakfast was really good too, and they didn't strictly limit it to two people, so we were able to bring our child in to eat as well.

They had popcorn and freshly brewed tea, and the service was excellent. Kids could read, write, draw, and even play Gobang (Five-in-a-row). We'll definitely come back here next time!

The environment here is fantastic! The lobby has books, a guzheng (Chinese zither), and calligraphy brushes, plus two adorable parrots 🦜. I'm very satisfied with this hotel; the rooms are spotless, and the front desk staff are wonderful. It's also very convenient for getting around. To go to West Lake, you just need to take the subway to Xiuxi Road Station. I really love it and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.
