The Nook Hotel Hangzhou - A design hotel, 20 mins to West Lake and Lingyin Temple

The family room with a mountain view had two very large beds, perfect for a couple with two kids. There's an underground parking garage. For a business hotel, the breakfast was exceptionally good—all substantial dishes, no frills. The staff were all very warm and welcoming. ❤️

This hotel has a Muji-esque vibe. The upgraded room allowed me to enjoy a bath with mountain views through the glass, and the minimalist wooden decor and expansive green balcony with floor-to-ceiling windows really brightened my mood. It's not far from the subway; navigation made it easy to find. After climbing a few steps and walking up a slope along a straight, tree-lined path, you arrive at the intersection with plane and ginkgo trees. It's only one stop from Tianmuli, which is super convenient for a day out – you can spend the whole day there seeing exhibitions, browsing shops, dining, having coffee, and taking photos of the architecture and trees. Zhejiang University, Wetland Park, and the Botanical Garden are also within a few stops, and it's only six stops to the city center, which is quite ideal. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was diverse and delicious – definitely worth trying!

The hotel room was great, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was also excellent. I stayed for two days and it was very comfortable. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

This is our third time staying at Xinyu Hotel, and Lin Mei and I both love it. The first time, we found it ranked 20th and the most affordable among Hangzhou's top 20 design hotels. We really liked its modern, minimalist, and darker-toned ambiance. This time, I noticed it has moved up to 13th place! Across the road, there's a mountain, and in autumn, there are so many fallen ginkgo leaves – the view from the window in the morning is absolutely stunning. I noticed some new changes this visit. The on-demand movies and TV shows on the TV are all free, with tons of options. We watched a short series called 'Love-struck Female Lead Reborn,' which was hilarious. This time, breakfast was included, which I hadn't tried before. Previously, we ate at the neighboring Zhiwei Xiao Guan, which is now called Xinyu Xiao Guan, and the dishes are all freshly made and quite good. The breakfast selection is incredibly varied and healthy – I loved it, especially the yogurt, which was slightly sweet and very rich in flavor; I had a lot of it! We also got complimentary afternoon tea; the egg tarts were very light, almost like steamed eggs, so they felt guilt-free. The location is about a 20-30 minute taxi ride from the West Lake scenic area. Nearby is the trendy Tianmuli area, and the closest subway is Gucang Road Station on Line 3.

This seemingly unassuming hotel really won me over! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bedding was incredibly soft. The breakfast selection was rich and healthy, featuring freshly cooked noodles or wontons. Coffee, tea, and fresh fruit were all readily available. I didn't have time to try the afternoon tea or the complimentary bikes, but for this price, the amenities were excellent! If I had to nitpick, the air conditioning fan was a bit loud. But at this time of year, AC wasn't really needed, so I just turned it off and slept soundly. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Hangzhou.

This hotel is really well-designed. They offer a fantastic breakfast buffet and afternoon tea. The mini-fridge in the room was stocked with Sprite, Coke, soda water, and potato chips. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely choose Wuzhong Hotel again if I come back to Hangzhou.
