The Nook Hotel Hangzhou - A design hotel, 20 mins to West Lake and Lingyin Temple

This hotel has a Muji-esque vibe. The upgraded room allowed me to enjoy a bath with mountain views through the glass, and the minimalist wooden decor and expansive green balcony with floor-to-ceiling windows really brightened my mood. It's not far from the subway; navigation made it easy to find. After climbing a few steps and walking up a slope along a straight, tree-lined path, you arrive at the intersection with plane and ginkgo trees. It's only one stop from Tianmuli, which is super convenient for a day out – you can spend the whole day there seeing exhibitions, browsing shops, dining, having coffee, and taking photos of the architecture and trees. Zhejiang University, Wetland Park, and the Botanical Garden are also within a few stops, and it's only six stops to the city center, which is quite ideal. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was diverse and delicious – definitely worth trying!

Service was pretty good, and the location is excellent. There are several restaurants right outside, and it's close to the subway station, making it convenient to get to West Lake Scenic Area.

This is our third time staying at Xinyu Hotel, and Lin Mei and I both love it. The first time, we found it ranked 20th and the most affordable among Hangzhou's top 20 design hotels. We really liked its modern, minimalist, and darker-toned ambiance. This time, I noticed it has moved up to 13th place! Across the road, there's a mountain, and in autumn, there are so many fallen ginkgo leaves – the view from the window in the morning is absolutely stunning. I noticed some new changes this visit. The on-demand movies and TV shows on the TV are all free, with tons of options. We watched a short series called 'Love-struck Female Lead Reborn,' which was hilarious. This time, breakfast was included, which I hadn't tried before. Previously, we ate at the neighboring Zhiwei Xiao Guan, which is now called Xinyu Xiao Guan, and the dishes are all freshly made and quite good. The breakfast selection is incredibly varied and healthy – I loved it, especially the yogurt, which was slightly sweet and very rich in flavor; I had a lot of it! We also got complimentary afternoon tea; the egg tarts were very light, almost like steamed eggs, so they felt guilt-free. The location is about a 20-30 minute taxi ride from the West Lake scenic area. Nearby is the trendy Tianmuli area, and the closest subway is Gucang Road Station on Line 3.

I had a very comfortable stay here. It's super close to my favorite restaurant, Jiangnan Yi, and they even share the same parking lot. Most importantly, the service from the lobby manager to the front desk ladies was exceptional. I had to wake up early for a hike and specifically asked for a vegetarian breakfast to be set aside for me. Even though I didn't get back until noon, they still prepared a fresh, hot stir-fried vegetable dish for me, which I really appreciated! The afternoon tea was also very thoughtfully prepared. The service attitude is genuinely excellent! If I came to Hangzhou every week, I would definitely choose this place! It's so convenient for getting everywhere!!

On Saturday, I spontaneously decided to visit Hangzhou to see the red leaves and found this hotel. The price was reasonable. The receptionist, a young lady wearing glasses, was exceptionally kind. Upon arrival, she gave me directions and estimated travel times to various attractions. The next day, when I rented a bike, she helped me with the route. Her service truly elevated my experience at this hotel, even though I don't know her name. Secondly, I personally found the hotel's breakfast to be excellent—it was delicate, delicious, and served buffet style. The restaurant environment was also very pleasant, a definite highlight of the hotel. The hotel offers complimentary bicycles, which are great for cycling to some attractions, especially in November when the weather is so pleasant. I do have a suggestion: the hotel could consider partnering with electric scooter rental shops. Hangzhou's attractions are beautiful, but some roads have inclines and declines, which can make cycling tiring. Finding reputable electric scooter providers that offer delivery services at a reasonable price, without occupying the hotel's parking spaces, would be a great added value for the hotel. All in all, this hotel left a wonderful impression on my two-day weekend trip to Hangzhou. I highly recommend it! **Facilities:** Good, there's a gym and a kids' room. **Environment:** The environment is excellent, located on Xixi Road, very tranquil. **Service:** The front desk lady was very kind, thorough, and thoughtful. **Self-service afternoon tea:** Very good. It was delightful to have some tea and fruit in the lobby after cycling!

This is a boutique hotel located off the main road down a small lane, so the entrance isn't very obvious. The lobby is a bit dimly lit. The room itself is quite spacious, but the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by only a curtain, which isn't ideal for families traveling with children. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so the surrounding amenities are not very convenient. However, the breakfast is highly recommended—it's exquisite with excellent service. The front desk staff are also very enthusiastic and helpful. This hotel is suitable for young couples traveling with a small baby.
