Zhujian Yitang Guesthouse

The owner is incredibly nice and accommodating, always willing to help, making the experience truly fantastic. It's also very convenient that you can rent electric scooters right at the entrance. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I needed a power bank for my phone, and the owner even lent me one for free.

The rooms are nice, and each comes with an electric scooter. If you need more, you can rent additional ones. You can ride the scooter early in the morning to Dongshan Century for breakfast, and then start your lake tour.

This guesthouse is located right within the West Lake scenic area. You can reach attractions quickly by walking or riding an electric scooter, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The owner is very welcoming, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Waking up and opening the window in the morning allows you to breathe in fresh air.

The B&B's location is great, about a 20-minute walk from Yue Fei Temple, and the environment is nice too. However! However! DO NOT book the attic starry sky tatami room. Two-thirds of the room is so low you can't stand up straight, and half of the bathroom is the same. Plus, the terrace is completely different from the pictures on the detail page; those photos show the balcony of another room.

I came to Hangzhou primarily for a relaxing vacation, but wow, it's incredibly crowded here! Choosing a guesthouse with good air and a tranquil environment directly impacts how enjoyable your trip will be. I picked Yitang because I knew it had a tea-making area, but I was genuinely surprised by how many different, beautifully themed spots there were for brewing tea. The owners are absolutely lovely and incredibly thoughtful, providing complimentary tea – black, green, floral, and fruit teas. As someone from Fujian, I was especially touched when the owner gave me several servings of 'Ruiquan' tea. That alone made the room rate totally worth it! It was so moving; it completely cooled and refreshed my 'hot-tempered' soul!

The room layout was perfect with great natural light. Most importantly, the electric scooter was incredibly convenient – I rode it for 6 hours and the battery was still at 100%, which was very reassuring! The facilities are a bit old, so it's probably an older hotel. It's very close to West Lake, though you can't ride electric scooters there. I'll definitely come back next time!

The room was very clean and the surroundings were comfortable. Plus, the host was super friendly and always willing to help guests. There's also a lotus pond and bamboo forest nearby, as well as a Chinese restaurant. Next time I'm in Hangzhou, I'll definitely book here again.
