Hangzhou West Lake Liuyingli Hotel

Coming to Lingfeng for plum blossoms at Hangzhou Botanical Garden in late winter, early February, is an annual ritual for me. As the saying goes, 'Above there is heaven, below there are Suzhou and Hangzhou,' and 'West Lake is like a beautiful lady, whether plainly or richly adorned.' Living by the lake is a hallmark of Jiangnan waterside towns. Hangzhou Liuyingli is a uniquely designed garden hotel among the scenic hotels around West Lake. It's hidden away in the city, boasting its own West Lake shoreline and the former residence of a famous person, Xia's Garden. The entire hotel is essentially a garden park. Upon check-in, the front desk service was polite and attentive to every detail. The room layout was well-designed, with excellent lighting and ventilation. Opening the window, I could see West Lake and hear birds singing. The hotel breakfast was very rich, featuring a wide array of Hangzhou cuisine and famous Jiangnan dim sum. Due to my high-speed train departure time, the hotel kindly offered a one-hour late check-out, which was very thoughtful. The hotel staff were all very warm and courteous. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the stay. This was my second time staying at Liuyingli Hotel. The environment is beautiful, and it's close to many attractions, making it convenient to walk or take a taxi. We visited Flower Harbor Viewing Fish, Jiangzhuang Wax Plum, Qianwang Temple, the Botanical Garden, Gulou Shiwu Kui Alley, and enjoyed Hangzhou cuisine at Zhiweiguan. It was a wonderful two-day trip to Hangzhou.

Booked Liuyingli again! The hotel has a great location, a lovely environment, and attentive service. I stayed for two days. The king room wasn't very big, and the decor wasn't super modern, but it was clean. The wardrobe for clothes was quite small, and the hangers were too large, so the door wouldn't close properly. The toilet seat didn't have a soft-close feature, which was a bit startling at first. The hotel is on Nanshan Road, and from there, you can enjoy a wonderful city walk along West Lake to Beishan Street, Gushan Road, and then across Su Causeway to Bai Causeway and Broken Bridge. Very satisfying!

The hotel's scenery is absolutely beautiful. The only downside is that the room was a bit small. We rented a car from the hotel to Wuzhen, and it was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced with no smoke smell – definitely a huge plus for the smoke-free environment!

The hotel was clean and the towels felt fresh and trustworthy, though the room itself was a bit small. Our chartered driver was excellent – very patient and provided fantastic service. Thumbs up! 👍 The price was fair too. I'd love to come back during spring or autumn if I get the chance.

An unexpectedly amazing family trip! 👍 As someone who's been to Hangzhou countless times over the decades, even though I'm not a local, I haven't stayed in many hotels here. For this special family trip, I specifically chose Liu Ying Li, located in the Orioles Singing in the Willows scenic area, and it truly turned out to be an excellent choice. After booking our dates, a guest relations staff member, Xiao Hu, proactively contacted us even before check-in. She carefully understood our needs and even gave us a delightful surprise on the day of arrival (an upgraded room that was already thoughtfully decorated, plus a small cake adorned with hearts). This really showed her dedication, responsibility, and genuine care for guests. 👍 Before check-out, she was just as attentive, asking about our travel plans and offering assistance. My elderly family members were incredibly satisfied with the entire trip. From Xiao Hu before our stay to the baggage storage staff, the housekeeping staff we encountered in the hallways, and the restaurant staff during breakfast – everyone was enthusiastic, proactive, and always greeted us with a smile. It was such a warm experience. The hotel boasts an exclusive 400-meter stretch of West Lake shoreline. The courtyard features charming bridges, pavilions, and towers. The willows are budding, and plum blossoms are in full bloom... It's truly delightful to leisurely stroll and enjoy the serene atmosphere! For our next family trip, I'll definitely choose this hotel again!

Absolutely stunning. The hotel's surroundings are incredibly beautiful. They've enclosed a small section of West Lake and created a charming garden; it's just breathtaking. The breakfast was a bit simple, but it was enough. My child is a picky eater, but they raved about how delicious the mini wontons were.
