Hangzhou Binjiang District Hotels

A fantastic hotel all way round! Its own description is totally spot on, on the amenities; a fantastic location at the CBD, a fantastic view of many parts of Hangzhou. Made a great impression on my first visit to the City and third time to China. Ample room and storage in the room, a studio space in essence. Has its own washing machine and small refrigerator and mini cook top and hood extractor in the room, with a mini stainless steel sink. Full length mirror and reasonable bathroom, and a sitting area. The location and food are superbly situated downstairs for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Face recognition entry downstairs and six elevators. A large shopping center across the hotel - that one won’t believe is there, you would thought it is a parking structure spanning across two or three city blocks! All capped by a fantastic value for money. It is the best value for money hotel I have stayed in China. Will come back again and again if the value stays.

1. The location is great, right by the Qiantang River, next to the 'Big Lotus' stadium. It's near Exit D5 of Metro Line 6 (though it's a bit of a walk from the exit). 2. Overall, I was satisfied with the room, but the window in room 2017 was incredibly dirty, and to make matters worse, there were bars obstructing the view. Even though the 'Big Lotus' was right outside, my view was spoiled. 3. On the night of my stay, there was a Yu Kewei concert, and I got to enjoy it for free from my room! (The concert ended around 9:30 PM, so it didn't really affect my sleep, but a later finish would definitely be an issue). 4. When checking in, I was told that check-out was at 2 PM (even though we were there for a marathon, no further extensions were possible). However, when I returned to my room just before 1 PM, I found my key card had been deactivated, and I couldn't get in. Luckily, a cleaning lady was nearby and opened the door for me. But since most of the guests that day were marathon runners, hardly anyone checked out in the morning. The cleaning lady was visibly annoyed and kept grumbling. Overall, despite being the official hotel for the marathon finish line, it seems the hotel wasn't really prepared to welcome marathon participants. The air conditioning worked great, the room was spacious, and the hotel's ambiance was elegant. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the food was delicious. It offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended! It's also very convenient for shopping. The room design was quite unique, spotlessly clean, and even had a bathtub. I look certainly look forward to staying here again.

The hotel's location is very convenient, with a subway station right outside, making it easy to access major attractions and shopping districts. We tried both the hotel's gym and swimming pool, which were fantastic and free for in-house guests! The facilities were also well-maintained. The breakfast was plentiful, with a wide selection of both Chinese and Western options, and the food was delicious.

Front counter service was alright. They were happy to assist to order on behalf when I needed help with food delivery since the app didn’t work on my phone without a China number. Shower stall smelled of dampness and mildew. Housekeeping lady insisted on cleaning my room everyday, even though my DND sign was on. Still, she did a good job and was friendly all the time so kudos to Ms 秋。The room I was given was opposite a busy crossroads and I couldn’t really rest well on some days with the constant car horns going off (the drivers in Hangzhou are an impatient bunch so the horns were plenty). Even so, the bed was extremely comfy and the room was decent. Towels were clean. Was there for a 2-day concert and it was a straight line 20-min walk to the Olympic Arena.

The front desk staff is very considerate and enthusiastic. The room type was upgraded. The environment is good, close to Baolong City, and there are many snacks in the night market. Welcome fruit was given! There are plenty of parking spaces! Good experience.

Facilities: The hotel is quite new, and the overall facilities are good. The lobby, guest rooms, and elevator areas are all clean and tidy. Hygiene: The room hygiene was very good, although the shower stall had a slight odor. After turning on the exhaust fan, it improved a bit. This is something to note, but otherwise, everything else seemed fine. The bedding and linens were very neat, with clear signs of being freshly laundered and folded. This is great, as it shows they are regularly cleaned. Many hotels have perfectly flat, immaculate bedding with no creases at all. Honestly, apart from established international five-star hotels, I find it hard to believe that every piece of bedding is ironed; instead, it makes me think it might not be washed often enough. Mingdu does it just right. Environment: There's a mall right next door, which was very convenient for having late-night snacks with my family until the early hours. It was lively and convenient. Service: All the staff were very polite; they would greet us whenever we met them in the hallway. The front desk attendant even gave our child a complimentary breakfast, which we greatly appreciated. It's worth mentioning that the breakfast tasted very good! There was a wide variety. Everyone in the family, including the elders and children, said the beef noodles on Saturday were delicious. The hotel room size, price, service, and environment are all proportional, making it highly recommendable.

I spent the weekend hiking in Hangzhou, tackling the Nine Creeks to Hupao trail over two days. I stayed at Anpu Hotel, located on the opposite bank of the Qiantang River. Arriving early on the first day, the hotel swiftly arranged my check-in and even provided a complimentary room upgrade. The room was very spacious with an expansive view, and the river view was particularly stunning in the morning as dawn broke! This two-day, one-night trip was excellent. I also noticed that the Six Harmonies Pagoda and the zoo are nearby. I would definitely choose this hotel again for future visits to Hangzhou, especially if I plan to explore the attractions in this area.

I stayed here for the second time, both times for concerts. The environment and transportation are very good, very close to the subway station, and it takes only a few minutes to walk to the D exit of Xingmin. There are also concert support items at the front desk of the hotel, which is very good! The service attitude is also good, just average. The room is not small, and the hygiene is also good. What I am not very satisfied with is that the speed of delivery to the room is very slow. Basically, I have to wait for 5 to 10 minutes every time before the front desk can deliver it to the room. It may be because the waiting time for the elevator is long and the number of meals delivered by the robot at one time is too small. In addition, it takes a long time to wait for the room staff to come to the room to deal with the problem.

Workers' actual test! I held a three-day meeting in Hangzhou, and I was really lucky to find this magical hotel! I summarized four reasons to stay here on a business trip. Transportation King Combination: Take Metro Line 6 from Xiaoshan Airport to Exit D of Jianye Road, and the hotel sign is 10 minutes away from the station! I especially praise the luggage storage in the lobby. You don't have to drag your suitcase to eat breakfast when you catch the early high-speed train! It only takes 2 subway stops to go to Binjiang Alibaba/NetEase, and it takes 10 minutes to get to Huawei Research Institute by taxi. The 3 shared electric car points around are super friendly to people with poor directions! Office equipment involution: The room is tailor-made for office animals! The actual network speed is 182Mbps for download, and the Tencent meeting has not been disconnected for 8 hours. **-level efficiency: 30 seconds to check in (ID card + face recognition synchronization), invoice (electronic ticket is sent directly to the mobile phone). It was raining when I checked out, and the guy at the front desk took out a dozen umbrellas and said, ”Use them first, and return them after use”...
