Tru by Hilton Hanoi Station

Extremely poor, do not stay here, absolutely do not stay here. Front Desk: The attitude was terrible. On October 2nd, there was a male front desk staff member whose English was fine for communication, but his attitude was very bad, as if he looked down on people. Laundry Room: It's paid, about 20 RMB for one wash and dry cycle. However, no one cleans the washing machine or dryer. Both the detergent dispenser and the drum had a very strong, foul smell, and visibly contained dirt, rust, and indescribable grime. I was so disgusted that I ended up not washing anything. Breakfast: Barely enough to keep you from starving, but don't expect anything delicious or special. It's basically pho, bread, fruit, and eggs. The breakfast area is tiny, about the same size as the front desk, and you eat at tables in the lobby. I only ate there once and then stopped. Soundproofing: This is the most unbearable part. Firstly, there's no soundproofing between guest rooms; you can hear neighbors talking at a normal volume. Secondly, in Vietnam, car horns start blaring outside every morning (this might be the case for any hotel, it's a Hanoi characteristic). Surrounding Environment: The location is indeed quite convenient, but right outside the door is a huge construction site, super, super dirty. If you want to go out, you have to walk on the motor vehicle lane, squeezed together with motorcycles. This section of the road is very disgusting and rugged. Further down are a bunch of 'fly restaurants,' with sewage and grease covering the road (nearby businesses wash dishes and clothes directly on the street)! Last Point: If you use Grab for a taxi or food delivery, you can only set the location to the main entrance of this building. Due to construction, you have to walk through a long stretch of construction road with mixed traffic to pick up your order. This is an absolute deal-breaker!!!

Hanoi is definitely worth a visit, and this hotel, a Hilton brand, is conveniently located near Hanoi Station. It's quite easy to get to various places from here. I'd definitely recommend it.

The hotel receptionists are all young and energetic, fluent in English, and happy to help. Laundry costs 50,000 VND and drying 30,000 VND. Even when I didn't know how to operate the washing machine payment, they clearly explained the process and even helped retrieve my dried clothes from reception after midnight for me to pick up when I woke up – so thoughtful! I stayed on the 17th floor. Although the hotel is opposite Hanoi train station, it was very quiet at night. Before booking, the hotel did warn guests about ongoing construction nearby until 2029, but it didn't cause any noise, just minor inconvenience entering and exiting the main entrance and some dust. Food and convenience stores are nearby. The only minor inconvenience in the room was the shower curtain in the bathroom, which easily wet the floor, and there was no place to put personal shampoo and other toiletries!

The twin room was designed with a youthful and vibrant feel, and the beds were comfortable, making it suitable for multiple guests. My three-night stay was excellent, and the hotel's proximity to Hanoi Station made transportation convenient. The Hilton brand service was on point, and overall, I was satisfied and would definitely return.

The room was very clean and tidy. The hotel is right in front of Hanoi Station, but I didn't really go there, so next time I'd probably choose somewhere closer to the bustling areas. However, having the reassurance of a Hilton hotel was great for my first trip to Vietnam.

The room felt great. The location is excellent, right across from Hanoi Train Station, and very convenient for nearby attractions like Ba Dinh Square, West Lake, Hoan Kiem Lake, and the Hanoi Old Quarter's 36 Streets.
