Serenity Villa Hotel

This was my second stay. It's located in a maze of narrow alleys, which can be a bit unsettling, but it's conveniently located near a famous church, massage parlors, restaurants, and everything else you could need. The rooms are old but clean, and I think it's a great value! I'll definitely book a stay here again the next time I go to Hanoi!

I used this hotel for a layover while traveling alone as a woman. It's located in a rather complicated area near Hanoi Cathedral, and taxis can't get in. However, there are plenty of shops around, so even though I ended up leaving around 11 PM, the area seemed safe. A famous pho restaurant is also nearby, so I was able to eat there without waiting in line by going early in the morning. My room was on the top floor, and the elevator didn't stop there, so I had to climb a flight of stairs, which was tough.

The staff were very helpful and courteous; when I called about a problem, they came to my room right away. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was also ideal for sightseeing, being close to the old town. There were also local restaurants around the hotel, making it very convenient to get around.

Great location for visiting the old town. Excellent interaction with the staff. Spacious and well-equipped room. Good breakfast. Quiet. Good value for money.

I had a hard time finding this hotel; it was tucked away in a back alley, and no locals could point me in the right direction. It's in the center of the old town, but the location itself is a downside. It's part of an old building that they're trying to maintain. The room had everything, but it was a bit shabby. It was okay for one night. The air conditioner was aimed directly at the bed, so I slept with the window open, which overlooked the courtyard, where some Vietnamese were doing something all night. The breakfast was quite tasty. My impressions were mixed, but I'd look for a different hotel the next time.
