Art Hotel Ha Noi

This hotel was definitely not renovated in 2024; it's very old. There were no windows, even though the room type was supposed to have one. When I opened the curtains, there was just another wall. The door panels and bathroom fixtures were all very old, and the hot water came from a water heater, not an electric one. The wallpaper and wall art in the room were a bit creepy. The drainage system outside the entrance was also terrible, dirty and full of sewage. The service, however, was good. The receptionist I interacted with these past few days spoke the best English. There was also an older gentleman who was always eager to help with any issues.

Traveled to Hanoi with my family for Chinese New Year and stayed at this hotel. The location is very central, near Hoan Kiem Lake, with many shops downstairs, making it super convenient for dining and getting around. The owner was really nice, even taking us upstairs and explaining everything we needed to know. The room was also very spacious, and overall, it was excellent value for money.

Second time staying here, and I still love the scent in the elevator – wish I knew where to buy it! Hanoi is changing so fast; two months ago there was a bus stop nearby with the #17 bus to the airport, but it's gone now. Good thing it's not far from Long Bien Bus Terminal, so I can catch a bus there. Today, I found out the E11 bus is free for foreigners! I told the driver I wanted to go to One Pillar Pagoda, and he actually stopped on a small road nearby and let me off. How great is that?!
