Starway Hotel (Harbin Xidazhi Street, Harbin Institute of Technology)

The room facilities and hygiene were pretty good, and the cleaning lady was excellent; she told me to just ask her if I needed anything, and she restocked items thoroughly. However, the soundproofing wasn't great, and although the room stated no smoking, an ashtray was provided… The service attitude of the older lady at the front desk was quite mediocre, and she insisted on me following Huazhu Hotel Group on my phone (she's the one in the photo from other negative reviews). But the other young male and female staff at the front desk were very good, and the restaurants they recommended nearby were also delicious. The delivery robot was quite busy, and sometimes if there were too many deliveries, I had to go down to pick them up myself. The view from the high floor was nice and unobstructed, but the elevator was noisy and slow. The location is close to the subway station, but you'll need to transfer if you're going to Central Street or the Ice and Snow World.

Convenient location, clean environment, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and always ready to help. Plus, there are tons of great food options nearby. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Harbin!

The hotel is super close to the subway station and surrounded by restaurants, making it really convenient. The front desk even offers complimentary frozen persimmons, frozen pears, and candied hawthorns. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time!

Feels like home! The service is becoming more and more personalized! Every staff member put in a great effort! It would be perfect if they could remove their gloves after clearing the restroom trash before serving drinks!

Overall, I was quite satisfied. **Pros:** The soundproofing in the room was excellent; we couldn't hear any noise from other rooms. Our family suite, room 1801, was incredibly spacious, and both the bedding and pillows were very comfortable. The large TV was great, and screen mirroring was very convenient. Breakfast was satisfying. The noodles and wontons, a specialty of Starway, were exceptionally delicious! The melon served at breakfast was incredibly sweet; I had several slices every day! The view from the large window was stunning. **Cons:** Upon arrival after 2 PM on the first day, our room wasn't ready, which made the check-in process a bit slow. The front desk seemed understaffed. The bathroom in suite 1801 was not properly waterproofed; we could clearly hear the sounds of showering from the floor above. However, my friends in other rooms didn't experience this issue, suggesting it might be a specific problem with our suite, 1801. Upon check-in, we noticed there were no towels or bath towels, but they were quickly delivered after a phone call. There was no soap dish. There were no hooks or racks to hang clothes and towels in the shower area. The conditioner came in sachets and was oddly placed in the drawer with the toothbrushes and toothpaste, not in the shower area. I initially thought no conditioner was provided. This seemed quite illogical.
