Laike Hotel (Harbin Railway Station Museum)

This is truly terrible. I'm planning to complain to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and 12345 (government hotline) tomorrow morning. I got caught in the rain last night, and after checking in, I couldn't even take a shower because there was no hot water. Later, when hot water finally came, it was yellowish and completely unusable. They said to wait a bit, but it still wasn't working even past midnight. This morning, the water was still yellow.

The hotel room was generally okay. 😌 It wasn't very big, but the layout was quite reasonable. The bed was just the right firmness, so I slept comfortably. The facilities were a bit old, but overall, it was fine. 👌

The room was spotless, and the service was excellent. Its location near the train station is super convenient, and there's breakfast right outside. Overall, it felt very convenient and comfortable. I'd definitely come back!

I chose this hotel for its location, as it's close to the final stop of the airport shuttle bus from Harbin Airport to Harbin Station, and not far from Harbin Station itself. This was perfect for my late arrival and early morning train departure. There were closer hotels, but after checking photos, reviews, and prices, I still opted for this one, despite it being a bit old. The area around it is an old district, making it convenient for dining and buying daily necessities. The room hygiene was good, and it was a very cost-effective stay for one night.

The elevator had an odor. There were bugs on the first floor (not cockroaches). On the second floor, above the stairs, there was an exposed screw that was hard to spot, and I ended up stepping on it and injuring my foot while going downstairs. Quite an 'interesting' experience.

The drains were all clogged, and there weren't many restaurants around, so we mainly relied on takeout. The cigarette smell was incredibly, incredibly strong – seriously, *incredibly* strong. However, there were parking spaces right outside, which was a plus. Honestly, credit where credit is due, parking in Harbin can be really tough. The front desk staff's attitude was also quite good. But the facilities and environment, well, let's just say it as it is.

The hotel's location is great, very close to Harbin Station and the museum, making it convenient for getting around. There's also a restaurant right on the first floor that's clean and hygienic. If you're traveling with kids, you can check in early. The room was a bit small, but it was enough for one adult and one child. The soundproofing isn't great though; we could hear conversations from the next room very clearly.

Really good! It was clean, didn't have any strange smells, and was very warm. The service was excellent. The only downside was the poor soundproofing.
